The Emirati-Iranian relations are developing and the last thing which is added to it is the meeting between Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs and two of the main Emirati officials today.
The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs and top Iranian negotiator ‘Alī Bāqerī Konī met with two leading Emirati officials today during a visit to the Emirates. The Emirati Press Agency mentioned that Konī met with Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the State of Qatar, Anwār Qarqāš.
Konī said: “We agreed to open a new page in the relations between Iran and the Emirates”.
The meeting deal with studying the relations between the Emirates and Iran, and the two sides confirmed the importance of strengthening it based on being good neighbors and mutual respect in the framework of common interests, working towards achieving more stability and progress in the region and development in the economic and trade relations between the two neighboring states.
The meeting also dealt with the study on the regional and international developments having mutual interest.
Roughly a week ago Qarqāš said that his country is ready to build bridges with all countries, even with those it has serious differences, pointing out that the Emirates are taking steps to calm the turmoil with Iran within a framework of political option supporting the diplomacy and putting aside confrontation.
In the context of calming between Iran and the Emirates, Emirati Foreign Minister ‘Abd Allah ibn Zāyid few days ago studied with his Iranian colleague Ḥosseyn Amīr-‘Abdollahiyān the bilateral ties and the fields of joint cooperation between the two countries.
Iranian President Ebrāhīm Ra’īsī had confirmed previously that there there is objection on the way to expand the relations between Iran and the Emirates on various fields, especially on the field of the economy.

العلاقات الإماراتية الإيرانية إلى مزيد من التطور، وآخر ما آلت إليه لقاء بين وزير الخارجية الإيراني للشؤون السياسية واثنين من كبار المسؤولين الإماراتيين اليوم.
التقى نائب وزير الخارجية الإيراني للشؤون السياسية، وكبير المفاوضين الايرانيين، علي باقري كني، باثنين من كبار المسؤولين الإماراتيين اليوم الأربعاء، خلال زيارة للإمارات. وذكرت وكالة أنباء الإمارات أن كني التقى المستشار الدبلوماسي لرئيس دولة الإمارات، أنور قرقاش.
وقال كني: “اتفقنا على فتح صفحة جديدة في العلاقات بين إيران والإمارات”.
وتناول اللقاء بحث العلاقات بين الإمارات وإيران، وتأكيد الجانبين أهمية تعزيزها على أساس حسن الجوار والاحترام المتبادل في إطار المصالح المشتركة، والعمل على تحقيق المزيد من الاستقرار والازدهار في المنطقة، وتنمية العلاقات الاقتصادية والتجارية بين البلدين الجارين.
كما تناول اللقاء بحث التطورات الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
وقبل نحو أسبوع، قال قرقاش إن بلاده تعمل لبناء جسور مع كل الدول، بما فيها تلك التي لديها خلافات جدية معها، مشيراً إلى أن الإمارات تتخذ خطوات لتهدئة التوتر مع إيران في إطار خيار سياسي مؤيد للدبلوماسية وتجنّب المواجهة.
وفي سياق التهدئة بين إيران والإمارات، بحث وزير الخارجية الإماراتي، عبد الله بن زايد، مع نظيره الإيراني، حسين أمير عبد اللهيان، قبل أيام، العلاقات الثنائية ومجالات التعاون المشترك بين البلدين.
وكان الرئيس الإيراني، إبراهيم رئيسي، قد أكّد في وقت سابق عدم وجود عقبات في طريق توسيع العلاقات بين إيران والإمارات في مختلف المجالات، وخصوصاً المجال الاقتصادي
