The reporter of the al-Mayadeen confirms that the occupying Israeli army did not fire towards Lebanese lands, announcing that there were no suspicious personnel in the vicinity of the border, and the closing combing the area shows the lack anything suspicious.
According to our reporter, the Israeli occupying army fired several bursts inside occupied Palestine just outside of Ra’s an-Nāqūra all the way to outside ‘Aytā aš-Ša‘ab, but it did not fire at Lebanese lands.
The occupying army announced later on that there is no suspicious personnel in the vicinity of the border, and that the combing of the area showed no signs of suspicious activity.
The Israeli media announced that a misidentification resulted in the retreat from the are of Western al-Ğalīl.
Lebanon criticized the Israeli aggression and considered it as a threat to the stability in the south. Lebanese Foreign Minister Nāṣif Ḥattī confirmed that he will present a complaint against “Israel” in the Security Council.
On his own term, Lebanese President Mīšāl ‘Awn said that what happened means a threat to the environment of stability in the south and at the same time Prime Minister Ḥassān Diyāb called for “caution in the upcoming days, expecting the matters to turn for the worse at our border with Palestine”.
The Israeli Yediot Ahronot newspaper wrote that “what happened two days ago at the Lebanese border can be characterized as a war of nerves”.

أطلق جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي يوم أمس الثلاثاء، رشقاتٍ نارية متعددة داخل فلسطين المحتلة قبالة رأس الناقورة وصولاً إلى قبالة عيتا الشعب، لكن لم يطلق النار باتجاه الأراضي اللبنانية وفق مراسلنا
وأعلن جيش الاحتلال لاحقاً عدم وجود أيّ مشبوهين قرب الحدود، وأن تمشيطه للمنطقة أظهر عدم صوابيّة الاشتباه
وكانت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية قد أعلنتْ أنّ تشخيصاً خاطئاً أدّى إلى حال الاستنفار في منطقة الجليل الغربيّ
لبنان ندّد بالاعتداء الإسرائيليّ، واعتبر ذلك تهديداً للاستقرار في الجنوب، وأكد وزير الخارجيّة اللبناني ناصيف حتّي أنّ لبنان سيتقدّم بشكوى ضد “إسرائيل” إلى مجلس الأمن
وبدوره، قال الرئيس اللبناني ميشال عون إن ما حصل يمثل تهديداً لمناخ الاستقرار في الجنوب، في وقتِ دعا فيه رئيس الوزراء حسان دياب إلى “الحذر في الأيام المقبلة، تحسّباً لانزلاق الأمور نحو الأسوأ على حدودنا مع فلسطين المحتلة
