On Monday the spokesman of Commander General of the Iraqi Armed Forces confirmed that the withdrawal of the American forces and the Coalition forces from Iraq will be complete by 30 September.
The American War Department “Pentagon” had confirmed in mid-July that the military duty of the International Coalition will end in Iraq by the end of September, exactly by the mutually accepted timetable between the two sides.
In an official statement the ministry mentioned that American War Secretary Pete Heghseth in the Pentagon – after intense meetings held at the Iraqi High Command – met with Iraqi Prime Minister ‘Alī az-Zaydī, and the two sides discussed the matter of the International Coalition to Defeat Dā‘iš and to end the operation in Iraq, aside from discussing the future of the American-Iraqi bilateral ties.
Spokesman of the Commander General of the Iraqi Armed Forces Ṣabāḥ an-Nu‘mān had announced that the Commander General and Prime Minister ‘Alī Fāliḥ az-Zaydī ordered to form a committee to set up the nature of relations with the International Coalition based on the principal of parity, explaining that the “relations with the Coalition states will shift to integrity and cooperation after 30 September”.

أكد الناطق باسم القائد العام للقوات المسلحة العراقية، الاثنين، أن انسحاب القوات الأميركية وقوات التحالف من العراق سيكتمل في 30 أيلول/سبتمبر الحالي
وكانت وزارة الحرب الأميركية “البنتاغون”، قد أكّدت منتصف تموز/يوليو الماضي، أنّ إنهاء المهمة العسكرية للتحالف الدولي في العراق سيتمّ بحلول نهاية شهر أيلول/سبتمبر الحالي، وذلك تماشياً مع الجداول الزمنية المتفق عليها بين الجانبين.
وذكرت الوزارة، في بيان رسمي لها، أنّ وزير الحرب الأميركي، بيت هيغسيث، التقى في مقر “البنتاغون” — عقب اجتماعات مكثّفة عُقدت في المكتب البيضاوي — رئيس الحكومة العراقية علي الزيدي، حيث ناقش الطرفان ملف التحالف الدولي لهزيمة تنظيم “داعش”، وإنهاء مهمة عملية “العزم الصلب” في العراق، إلى جانب بحث مستقبل العلاقات الثنائية الأميركية- العراقية.
وكان الناطق باسم القائد العامّ للقوات المسلحة العراقية صباح النعمان، قد أعلن، أنّ القائد العام ورئيس الحكومة علي فالح الزيدي وجّه بتشكيل لجنة لتحديد شكل العلاقة مع التحالف الدولي وفق مبدأ الندّ بالندّ، موضحاً أنّ “العلاقة مع دول التحالف ستنتقل إلى التكاملية والتعاون بعد الـ30 من أيلول/سبتمبر الحالي
