The official spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Nāṣer Kan‘ānī in a weekly press conference details a number of matters, amongst them the negotiations with Riyadh and the war in Ukraine.
The official spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Nāṣer Kan‘ānī says that “the Israeli Occupation Entity knows by experience that it will meet a strong response for any foolish act against Iran”.
Kan‘ānī explained that “using threatening expressions against Iran is part of the political and psychological operations of this regime to deter the minds of its uneasy internal situation in Tel Aviv”. Thus pointing out that the acts of aggression that the Entity does in the region have a long history”.
Kan‘ānī brought attention to that “the basis of this regime is to focus on aggression and crimes and these crimes are done with the support of the United States of America and a number of European states”.
The war in Ukraine
Kan‘ānī brought attention to the case of the Russian-Ukrainian war saying: “We are not part of the current war in Ukraine and the threats against us are futile”. He called upon the Ukrainian officials to cease expressing threats to Iran, especially since they have not presented anything that would have proven their claims.
Cooperation between Iran and Russia
Kan‘ānī said that “the military cooperation between Iran and Russia is managed within the framework of the international law and the common interests. This cooperation has started even before the war in Ukraine”.
The official spokesman of the National Security Council in the White House John Kirby previously warned about weapons exchange between Moscow and Tehran transforming the relations between the two countries “into a comprehensive and complete defense partnership”.
The Iranian-Saudi negotiations
Also, Kan‘ānī described the atmosphere between Tehran and Riyadh as they are “positive”, pointing out that nothing extraordinary has happened about the negotiations between the two countries”.
Kan‘ānī continued by saying: “based on the previous negotiations in Baghdad the positive dialogue expressing good intentions by the two foreign ministers in Jordan make us able to envision a new round of negotiations in the future with the help of the Iraqi government”.
It should be pointed out that the dialogue sessions between Saudi Arabia and Iran have started in April 2021 with the help of Iraqi Prime Minister Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī, who has good connections with both sides, as he visited Riyadh and Tehran in June 2020 with his efforts to enable the dialogue and underlined the importance of “the stability of the region”.
The Iranian-Egyptian dialogue
The official spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry pointed out that a breakthrough dialogue was held between Iranian Foreign Minister Ḥosseyn Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān and Egyptian President ‘Abd al-Fattāḥ as-Sīsī aside from the Baghdad 2 Summit in Jordan and the that was a positive dialogue expressing the desire of both sides for a dialogue.
Kan‘ānī added that “the bilateral relations are ongoing between the two states keeping interests in mind and there is no problem between the two with continuing the dialogue and has welcomed the mediation of Iraqi Prime Minister Muḥammad Šayyā‘ as-Sūdānī to hold meetings between Iran and Egypt”. He said: “We welcome these initiatives and any positive movement that leads to a positive atmosphere with the regional states, including Egypt”.
Kan‘ānī pointed out that consular-level negotiations have been held between the two states and it was agreed to continue them to solve the pending matters between the two sides.

المتحدث باسم الخارجية الإيرانية ناصر كنعاني يتطرق في المؤتمر الصحافي الأسبوعي إلى العديد من الملفات، من بينهم المفاوضات مع الرياض والحرب في أوكرانيا
قال المتحدث باسم الخارجية الإيرانية، ناصر كنعاني، إنّ “كيان الاحتلال الإسرائيلي يعلم من خلال تجربته أنه سيتلقى رداً قوياً على أي عمل أحمق ضد إيران
وأوضح كنعاني أنّ “استخدام التعبيرات التهديدية ضد إيران هو جزء من العمليات السياسية والنفسية لهذا النظام لإبعاد العقول عن الوضع الداخلي الهش في تل أبيب”، مشيراً إلى أنّ الأعمال العدوانية التي يقوم بها الكيان في المنطقة لها تاريخ طويل
ولفت كنعاني إلى أنّ “أساس هذا النظام يرتكز على العنف والجريمة، وتتم مثل هذه الجرائم بدعم من الولايات المتحدة الأميركية وعددٍ من الدول الأوروبية
الحرب في أوكرانيا
وتطرق كنعاني إلى الملف الروسي الأوكراني، قائلاً: “لسنا طرفاً في الحرب الدائرة في أوكرانيا، والاتهامات ضدنا مضللة”، ودعا المسؤولين الأوكرانيين إلى وقف توجيه الاتهامات إلى إيران، وخصوصاً أنهم لم يقدموا ما يثبت مزاعمهم.
التعاون بين إيران وروسيا
وقال كنعاني إنّ “التعاون العسكري بين إيران وروسيا يتم في إطار القانون الدولي والمصالح المشتركة. وقد بدأ هذا التعاون حتى قبل الحرب في أوكرانيا”.
وكان المتحدث باسم مجلس الأمن القومي في البيت الأبيض، جون كيربي، قد حذّر في وقت سابق من أنّ تبادل الأسلحة بين موسكو وطهران يحوّل العلاقة بين البلدين إلى “شراكة دفاعية شاملة وكاملة”.
المفاوضات الإيرانية السعودية
كذلك، وصف كنعاني الأجواء بين طهران والرياض بأنها “إيجابية”، مشيراً إلى أنّه لم يطرأ أي جديد على المفاوضات بين البلدين.
وتابع كنعاني: “بناءً على المحادثات السابقة في بغداد، والمحادثات الإيجابية المقترنة بالنيات الحسنة لوزيري الخارجية في الأردن، يمكننا أن نشهد جولة جديدة من المحادثات في المستقبل بمساعدة الحكومة العراقية”.
يُشار إلى أن جلسات الحوار بين السعودية وإيران بدأت في نيسان/أبريل 2021، بتسهيل من رئيس الوزراء العراقي مصطفى الكاظمي، الذي تربطه علاقات جيدة بالجانبين، إذ زار الرياض وطهران في حزيران/يونيو 2020 ضمن جهود لتسهيل الحوار، وشدد على أهمية “استقرار المنطقة”.
الحوار الإيراني المصري
ولفت المتحدث باسم الخارجية الإيرانية إلى أنه تم عقد حوار عابر بين وزير الخارجية الإيراني حسين أمير عبد اللهيان والرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي على هامش قمة بغداد 2 في الأردن، وكان حواراً إيجابياً يعبّر عن رغبة الجانبين في الحوار.
وأضاف كنعاني أنّ “العلاقات الثنائية مستمرة بين البلدين من خلال رعاية المصالح، وليس هناك مشكلة بينهما لاستمرار الحوار، ورحب رئيس الوزراء العراقي محمد شياع السوداني بالتوسط لعقد لقاءات بين إيران ومصر”، وقال: “نرحب بهذه المبادرات وبأي تحرك إيجابي يؤدي إلى أجواء إيجابية مع دول المنطقة، لا سيما مصر”.
وأشار كنعاني إلى أنه تم إجراء مفاوضات قنصلية بين البلدين، وتم الاتفاق على استمرارها لحل القضايا العالقة بين الطرفين
