Algerian Foreign Minister Aḥmad ‘Aṭṭāf underlines that “Israel” aims to break Somalia apart and denounces its attacks against Syria and Lebanon, and the continued killing of Palestinians in Gaza, regardless of the “ceasefire”.

Algerian Foreign Minister Aḥmad ‘Aṭṭāf confirmed that “Israel” aims to break Somalia apart, reiterating the support of Algeria for the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. This was in his speech in front of the 81st U.N. General Assembly in New York.
‘Aṭṭāf said that “Israel continues its attacks in the region”, pointing out Syria, Lebanon and Somalia, while at the same time Palestinian victims fall in the Gaza Strip despite the “ceasefire” agreement.
Algeria was amongst the group of states that issued a joint statement after the Israeli recognition of “Somaliland”, in which it confirmed that sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia, its unity and territorial integrity and rejected any measures that jeopardize the unity of the country.
‘Aṭṭāf has met with his Somali counterpart ‘Abd as-Salām ‘Abdī ‘Alī on the margins of the meetings of the General Assembly in New York, where the two sides confirmed hanging on to the sovereignty of Somalia, its unity and rejecting the foreign interventions that increase the tensions at the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea.
At for the Palestinian matter, ‘Aṭṭāf said that “Israel” continues to murder Palestinian civilians, despite the “ceasefire” agreement. He also reiterated the support of Algeria for establishing a Palestinian State that is “independent, fully sovereign and its capital is Jerusalem”.
‘Aṭṭāf also condemned the continuous Israeli aggressions against Syria and Lebanon, confirming the position of Algeria supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Arab states.
‘Aṭṭāf also expressed his criticism towards the methods of the global order, as he said that the world sees the spread of crises and the falling trust between the states, the return to the reliance on force instead of agreement and multilateral solutions.
He collard for reforming the structure of the United Nations making it more representative and able to answer to the international shifts, confirming that by Algeria’s view reforming the multilateral organizations is essential for building a more just international order.

أكد وزير الخارجية الجزائري، أحمد عطاف، أنّ “إسرائيل” تسعى إلى تقسيم الصومال، مجدّداً دعم الجزائر لوحدة البلاد وسيادتها وسلامة أراضيها، وذلك في كلمة أمام الدورة الـ81 للجمعية العامّة للأمم المتحدة في نيويورك.
وقال عطاف إنّ “إسرائيل تواصل اعتداءاتها في المنطقة”، مشيراً إلى سوريا ولبنان والصومال، بالتزامن مع استمرار سقوط ضحايا فلسطينيين في قطاع غزة رغم اتفاق “وقف إطلاق النار”.
وكانت الجزائر ضمن مجموعة الدول التي أصدرت بياناً مشتركاً عقب الاعتراف الإسرائيلي بـ”أرض الصومال” أكّدت فيه دعم سيادة جمهورية الصومال الفيدرالية ووحدتها وسلامة أراضيها، ورفض أيّ إجراءات من شأنها المساس بوحدة البلاد
وكان عطاف التقى نظيره الصومالي، عبد السلام عبدي علي، على هامش اجتماعات الجمعية العامة في نيويورك، حيث أكّد الجانبان التمسّك بسيادة الصومال ووحدته ورفض التدخّلات الخارجية التي من شأنها تأجيج التوتر في القرن الأفريقي والبحر الأحمر.
وفي الملف الفلسطيني، قال عطاف إنّ “إسرائيل” تواصل قتل المدنيين الفلسطينيين رغم “وقف إطلاق النار”. كما جدّد دعم الجزائر لإقامة دولة فلسطينية “مستقلة وكاملة السيادة وعاصمتها القدس”.
كما دان عطاف الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية المستمرة على سوريا ولبنان، مؤكّداً موقف الجزائر الداعم لسيادة الدول العربية ووحدة أراضيها.
عطاف وجّه أيضاً انتقاداً لأداء النظام الدولي، حيث قال إنّ العالم يشهد تفاقماً للأزمات وتراجعاً للثقة بين الدول وعودة الاعتماد على القوة على حساب التوافق والحلول متعدّدة الأطراف.
ودعا إلى إصلاح منظومة الأمم المتحدة بما يجعلها أكثر تمثيلاً وقدرة على الاستجابة للتحوّلات الدولية، مؤكّداً أنّ إصلاح المؤسسات متعدّدة الأطراف أصبح، من وجهة نظر الجزائر، ضرورة لبناء نظام دولي أكثر عدلاً
