The Foreign Ministry of the Sultanate of Oman confirms that the negotiations about the arrangements concerning the the maritime movement in the Strait of Hormuz are being conducted “in a positive and constructive atmosphere”.
In a statement the ministry confirmed the importance “to put aside any actor that would affect these negotiations and obvious progress that is safeguarding the interest of all parties”.
Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council Moḥammad Bāqer Dū l-Qadr had confirmed earlier of Saturday that Iran sets the condition for the opening of the Strait of Hormuz that United States of American would improve its behavior.
Earlier on Saturday Iranian Foreign Minister ‘Abbās ‘Arāqčī announced that reaching an agreement with Oman is close about the management of the maritime movements in the Strait of Hormuz, given the condition that Washington would compensate for its violations to open the strait.
On his behalf an American official talking to Reuters on Friday about achieving progress in the current negotiations between the Sultanate of Oman and Iran about the maritime movement in the Strait of Hormuz had confirmed that it is believed that it would be reached very soon.
Also officials spokesman of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Brigadier General Ḥosseyn Moḥebbī also confirmed that the reopening of the Strait of. Hormuz is conditional on the mechanisms and conditions of Iran and has nothing to do with the negotiations between Tehran and the Sultanate of Oman.
Iran and Oman are conducting negotiations for roughly two months about the joint management of the maritime movement in the Strait of Hormuz, as they are the two coastal states of the strait. At the same time Iran rejects involving any third party, or to opening a corridor without coordination with it.

أكدت وزارة الخارجية في سلطنة عُمان، سريان المفاوضات بشأن الترتيبات المتعلّقة بالملاحة في مضيق هرمز في “أجواء إيجابية وبنّاءة”.
وشدّدت الوزارة في بيان، على أهمية “تجنّب أيّ أعمال من شأنها التأثير على هذه المفاوضات والتقدّم المُحرز الذي يُراعي مصالح جميع الأطراف”.
وكان أمين المجلس الأعلى للأمن القومي الإيراني، محمد باقر ذو القدر، قد أكّد في وقت سابق اليوم، اشتراط إيران فتحَ مضيق هُرمز بإصلاح الولايات المتحدة الأميركية سلوكها.
وفي وقتٍ سابق اليوم، أعلن وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقتشي قرب التوصّل إلى اتفاق مع عُمان بشأن إدارة الملاحة في مضيق هرمز، مشترطاً تعويض واشنطن عن انتهاكاتها، لفتح المضيق
بدوره، كشف مسؤول أميركي، أمس الجمعة، في حديثه إلى “رويترز” عن تحقيق تقدّم في المحادثات الجارية بين سلطنة عُمان وإيران بشأن الملاحة في مضيق هرمز، مؤكّداً التوقّع بالتوصّل إلى اتفاق في القريب العاجل.
كذلك، أكّد المتحدّث باسم حرس الثورة في إيران، العميد حسين محبي، اليوم، أنّ إعادة فتح مضيق هرمز مشروط بآليات وشروط إيران، ولا علاقة له بالمفاوضات بين طهران وسلطنة عمان
وتجري إيران وعُمان، منذ نحو شهرين، محادثات بشأن إدارة مشتركة للملاحة في مضيق هرمز بوصفهما الدولتين المشاطئتين للمضيق، في حين ترفض طهران إشراك أيّ جهة ثالثة، أو فتح ممر من دون التنسيق معها
