The Israeli Channel 12 reports that the Director of “Mossad” deposed leading officials of the service, the Director of the Intelligence Department and the Director of the Iran Section, after the operational plan failed that had aimed to topple the government in Iran.
According to the channel the decision for removals came based on the conviction of the Director of “Mossad” that the officials who set up the plan and oversaw its preparations must bare the consequences of its failure, pointing out that the two deposed officials were directly involved in laying down and carrying out the plan that had been presented to American President Donald Trump.
The channel added that the plan was based on the cooperation of minority groups within Iran aiming to cause a regime change and put a new Iranian leadership into power, but it did not materialize on the ground.
The channel cited security sources saying that the relation between the Director of “Mossad” and the deposed officials did not see synergy from the beginning and the termination of their services came in consensus, but the timing of the decision is not a coincidence, as the two leading officials are regarded at the ones putting the plan together that had ended in failure, according to the confirmation of the Israeli narrative.

أفادت “القناة 12” الإسرائيلية بأن رئيس جهاز “الموساد” أقال مسؤولين بارزين في الجهاز، هما رئيسة مديرية الاستخبارات ورئيس دائرة إيران، على خلفية فشل الخطة العملياتية التي كانت تستهدف إسقاط النظام في إيران
وبحسب القناة، فإن قرار الإقالة جاء انطلاقاً من قناعة رئيس “الموساد” بأن المسؤولين الذين صاغوا الخطة وأشرفوا على إعدادها يجب أن يتحملوا تبعات فشلها، مشيرة إلى أن المسؤولين المُقالين كانا مرتبطين بشكل مباشر بوضع وتنفيذ الخطة التي عُرضت على الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب.
وأضافت القناة أن الخطة كانت تقوم على التعاون مع مجموعات من الأقليات داخل إيران بهدف إحداث تغيير في النظام وتنصيب قيادة إيرانية جديدة، إلا أنها لم تُنفذ على أرض الواقع.
ونقلت القناة عن مصادر أمنية قولها إن العلاقة بين رئيس “الموساد” والمسؤولين المقالين لم تشهد انسجاماً منذ البداية، وإن انتهاء خدمتهما جاء باتفاق، إلا أن توقيت القرار ليس مصادفة، باعتبارهما المسؤولين الرئيسيين عن إعداد الخطة التي انتهت إلى الفشل، وفق تأكيد الرواية الإسرائيلية
