Sources of al-Mayadeen in Syria report that the American Harāb al-Ğīr airport base suffered a targeted attack by missiles and drones.

The sources of al-Mayadeen in Syria reported on Sunday that several explosions were heard inside the American Harāb al-Ğīr airport base at al-Mālikiyya in the northern countryside of al-Ḥasaka Province in Northeastern Syria.

The sources confirmed that the sounds were the result of a targeted attack against the American forces at the Harāb al-Ğīr airport with 3 missiles falling inside and around it. Also pointing out that the missile attack was followed by another attack against the base with a drone with no information about the level of losses.

This year shows a significant increase in the attacks against the American bases in Syria and Iraq that haven’t stopped since the “Flood of al-Aqṣā” massacre started on 7 October 2023.

These attacks made the Americans during the last few months to bring in a large number of shipments of weapons and defense equipment that are carried by land through the border crossings between Northern Iraq and areas under the control of “Qasad” in Northeastern Syria, or by air through the Harāb al-Ğīr airport. These bases have received more than then shipments on American weapons and equipment and these were accompanied by a large number of live ammunition trainings to measure the effectiveness of the weapons.

These attacks form a pressure on the administration in the White House, as the American CNN network had mentioned before that the possibility of more losses among the lines of the American soldiers represent a new unwelcome foreign policy crisis, especially for the matter of President Joe Biden’s re-election.

مصادر الميادين في سوريا تفيد بتعرض قاعدة مطار خراب الجير الأميركية لاستهدافٍ بهجوم صاروخي وطائرة مُسيّرة

أفادت مصادر الميادين في سوريا، اليوم الأحد، بسماع دوي عدة انفجارات داخل قاعدة مطار خراب. الجير الأميركية في المالكية في ريف الحسكة الشمالي، شمالي شرقي سوريا.

وأكّدت المصادر أنّ الأصوات ناتجة عن استهداف قاعدة القوات الأميركية في مطار خراب الجير بـ3 صواريخ. سقطت بداخلها وفي محيطها، لافتةً إلى أنّ الهجوم الصاروخي تلاه استهداف آخر للقاعدة. بطائرةٍ مُسيّرة، من دون معلومات عن حجم الخسائر.

ويسجّل هذا العام ارتفاعاً ملحوظاً في وتيرة الاستهدافات ضدّ القواعد الأميركية في سوريا والعراق، التي لم. تتوقّف منذ انطلاق ملحمة “طوفان الأقصى” في السابع من تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2023.

ودفعت هذه الهجمات الأميركيين، طيلة الأشهر الفائتة، إلى استقدام عددٍ كبير من دفعات الأسلحة والمعدات. الدفاعية، المنقولة براً عبر معابر بين شمال العراق ومناطق سيطرة “قسد” شمالي شرقي سوريا، أو جواً عبر قاعدة مطار. خراب الجير، والتي استقبلت أكثر من عشر دفعات من الأسلحة والمعدات الأميركية، ترافقت مع تنفيذ عدد كبير. من التدريبات بالذخيرة الحية، واختبار جاهزية الأسلحة.
