Deputy Commander of the Sudanese Armed Forces confirms the continuation of fighting in Sudan and says that they will not enter into any negotiations with the “Rapid Support” forces to stop the war.

Deputy Supreme Commander of the Sudanese Armed Forces Yāsir al-‘Aṭā has announced the rejection to enterThe into any negotiations with the “Rapid Support” forces about stopping the war in Sudan.
While receiving the leadership of the “Liberation of Sudan” Movement in Omdurman, including the governor of Dārfūr region, al-‘Aṭā confirmed the continuation of the fight against the “Rapid Support” until victory against it and the continuation of the war. He confirmed that “there would be no ceasefire, nor negotiations with the Rapid Support”.
Governor of Dārfūr region Munay Arkū Munāwī has arrived in Omdurman on Sunday in order to joint the joint army in its battles against the “Rapid Support”.
On his behalf, Deputy President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council Mālik ‘Aqqār underlined that the Sudanese Army is capable of ending the war with the “Rapid Support” forces militarily, and rejected the possibility of peacefully stopping the conflict.
‘Aqqār, who is also the president of the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Sudan – Revolutionary Front, had started journey that included the Blue Nile, Sannār and the White Nile regions in order to survey the security and humanitarian conditions in these provinces and to take the last preparations of the Sudanese Army for the upcoming military operations. This would target al-Ğazīra province that is under the control of the “Rapid Support” forces since last December.
“The Liberation of Sudan” leaves its neutrality and joins the fight along the Army
In the same context President of the “Liberation of Sudan” Movement and Governor of Dārfūr region Munay Arkū Munāwī announced that the forces of the movement are heading to the capital Khartoum in order to take part in the battles with the Army against the “Rapid Support” Forces.
Munāwī said in a video footage posted on his Facebook page on Sunday: “on our way to the capital Khartoum”.
He added: “We are living in a crisis that is manifested in an attack against the state and against the rights of the citizens, their dignity and the sovereignty of the state in a great many regions of the country”.
He stated: “the “Liberation of Sudan” Movement has been waiting for 10 months since the beginning of the war in order to reach a solution, but that has not happened. Therefore the movement has to contribute to the restoration of the people’s prosperities and to restore the sovereignty of the state from those coming from various lands (the Rapid Support)”.
In October 2020 several armed movements in Sudan, including the “Liberation of Sudan” Movement had signed the Juba Peace Accord, which allowed them to be part of the power in Khartoum.
It should be remembered that Sudan is facing a serious humanitarian crisis since the war had broken out in mid-April last year between the Sudanese Army led by ‘Abd al-Fattāḥ al-Burhān and the “Rapid Support” Forces led by Muḥammad Ḥamdān Daqalū, known as Ḥamīdtī.

أعلن مساعد القائد العام للقوات المسلحة السودانية، ياسر العطا، رفض الدخول في مفاوضات. مع قوات “الدعم السريع” بشأن وقف الحرب في السودان.
وخلال استقباله، في أم درمان، قيادات حركة “تحرير السودان” بينهم حاكم إقليم دارفور، أكد العطا. استمرار القتال ضد “الدعم السريع” حتى الانتصار عليه ومواصلة الحرب، مؤكداً أنه “لا هدنة ولا تفاوض مع الدعم السريع”.
وكان حاكم إقليم دارفور، مني أركو مناوي، قد وصل إلى مدينة أم درمان، يوم أمس الأحد، من أجل. الانضمام إلى الجيش للمشاركة في المعارك ضد “الدعم السريع”.
من جهته، شدّد نائب رئيس مجلس السيادة الانتقالي، مالك عقار، على أن الجيش السوداني قادر على. إنهاء الحرب مع قوات “الدعم السريع” عسكرياً، و استبعد إمكانية وقف النزاع سلمياً.
وقد بدأ عقار الذي يرأس أيضاً الحركة الشعبية لتحرير السودان – الجبهة الثورية، جولة شملت إقليم. النيل الأزرق وسنار والنيل الأبيض، بهدف تفقّد الأوضاع الأمنية والإنسانية في تلك الولايات والوقوف على آخر. استعدادات الجيش السوداني بشأن العملية العسكرية المحتملة والتي تستهدف ولاية الجزيرة التي تسيطر. عليها قوات “الدعم السريع” منذ كانون الأول/ديسمبر الماضي.
“تحرير السودان” تترك الحياد وتنضم للقتال إلى جانب الجيش
وفي سياق متصل، أعلن رئيس حركة “تحرير السودان” وحاكم إقليم دارفور، مني أركو. مناوي، توجّه قوات من الحركة إلى العاصمة الخرطوم من أجل المشاركة في المعارك مع الجيش ضد قوات “الدعم السريع”.
وقال مناوي في مقطع فيديو نشره عبر صفحته في “فايسبوك”، أمس الأحد” “في طريقنا نحو العاصمة الخرطوم
وأضاف: “نحن نعيش في الأزمة التي تكمن في الاعتداء على الدولة وعلى حقوق. المواطنين وكرامتهم وسيادة الدولة في مناطق كثيرة جداً بالبلاد”.
وأردف: “انتظرت حركة “تحرير السودان” 10 أشهر منذ بدء الحرب من أجل الوصول. إلى حلول، لكن ذلك لم يحدث، لذلك يجب أن تساهم الحركة في إعادة ممتلكات الناس واستعادة سيادة الدولة. من القادمين من ديار مختلفة (الدعم السريع)”.
وفي شهر تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2020، وقعت عدة حركات مسلحة في السودان، بينها. حركة “تحرير السودان”، على “اتفاق جوبا” للسلام، ما سمح لها بالمشاركة في السلطة بالخرطوم.
