The Yemeni forces announced the apprehension of an Emirati military cargo vessel.

The official spokesman of the Yemeni forces Brigadier General Yaḥyā Sarī‘ says after the forces apprehended an Emirati military cargo vessel that the vessel as threatening the security of Yemen.

The Yemeni Armed forces announced that they apprehended “an Emirati military cargo vessel holding military supplies in its cargo within Yemeni territorial waters without any authorization and carries out acts of aggression”.

The official spokesman of the Yemeni forces Brigadier General Yaḥyā Sarī‘ said that “the Emirati ship targets the security and the stability of the Yemeni people, and we shall explain the full details in a press conference within the next few hours”.

Sarī‘ warned “the Coalition of Aggression from any foolishness taken about the Emirati military cargo vessel, on which there is a crew of different foreign nationals, and which was taken over and was carrying out blatant aggressions against the Yemeni people”.

The matter, which was confirmed by the chief negotiator of Sana‘a Muḥammad ‘Abd as-Salām, when he said that “the successful and unprecedented operation to take hold over the Emirati vessel comes within the context of confronting the aggression and the blockade”. Thus believing that “apprehending the Emirati vessel is a legal right of the Yemeni people and of the Yemeni Armed Forces and there shall be a statement about this outstanding development”.

At the same time Yemeni sources mentioned to al-Mayadeen that the Emirati military vessel was taken over by the Yemeni naval forces close to the shores in Yemeni waters close to the port of aṣ-Ṣalīf in al-Ḥudayda on the Red Sea.

The sources added that “the ship carried military equipment and not medical, as it is claimed by the Saudi Coalition”.

This comes at a time when the Saudi Coalition announced on Monday against Yemen that the “al-Ḥūtī militia hijacked a cargo vessel under Emirati flag close to al-Ḥudayda”.

أعلنت القوات المسحلة اليمنية ضبطها “سفينة شحن عسكرية إماراتية على متنها معدات عسكرية دخلت المياه اليمنية من دون أي ترخيص وتمارس أعمالاً عدائية”.

المتحدث باسم القوات المسلحة اليمنية العميد يحيى سريع قال إن “السفينة الإماراتية تستهدف أمن واستقرار الشعب اليمني، وسنوضح التفاصيل الكاملة في مؤتمر صحفي خلال الساعات المقبلة

وحذر سريع “تحالف العدوان من أي حماقة يقوم بها ضد سفينة الشحن العسكرية الإماراتية، والتي يتواجد بداخلها طاقم السفينة من جنسيات دولية مختلفة، والتي تم الاستيلاء عليها وهي تمارس عدواناً صارخاً ضد الشعب اليمني

الأمر الذي أكده رئيس وفد صنعاء المفاوض محمد عبد السلام، وقال إن “عملية ضبط السفينة الإماراتية الموفقة وغير المسبوقة تأتي في إطار التصدي للعدوان والحصار”ـ معتبراً أن “ضبط السفينة الإماراتية حق مشروع للشعب اليمني والقوات المسلحة اليمنية سيكون لها بيان حول هذا التطور النوعي

هذا وذكرت مصادر يمنية للميادين أن السفينة العسكرية الإماراتية احتجزت من قبل قوات بحرية يمنية من خفر السواحل في المياه اليمنية قبالة ميناء الصليف في الحديدة على البحر الأحمر.

وأضافت المصادر أن “السفينة محملة بعتاد عسكري وليس طبي كما يزعم التحالف السعودي

يأتي ذلك بعدما أعلن التحالف السعودي ضد اليمن، اليوم الاثنين، أن “مليشيا الحوثي اختطفت سفينة شحن ترفع العلم الإماراتي قبالة الحديدة
