The Arabic Institution for Security Studies hosted the Security Dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Iran and the Secretary General of the institute says that the meeting showed a mutual desire from the two sides to improve the relations.
Today, on Monday the meeting of the Security Dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Iran with the participation of experts came to an end between the two sides.
According to the “Petra” news agency meeting hosted by the Arabic Institution for Security Studies based in Amman discussed a number of security and technical matters and showed the mutual desire from both sides to improve the relations and strengthen the regional stability.
The meeting discussed a number of security and technical matters focusing on limiting the threat of missiles and launch devices and on the technical measures to build trust between the two sides, and explicitly those connected to the Iranian nuclear program, but also on the cooperation in nuclear fuel and other principals.
The news agencies reported from the Secretary General of the Arabic Institute for Security Studies Ayman Halīl saying that the atmosphere of mutual respect helped the meeting, which showed the mutual desire from both sides to improve the relations and to strengthen the regional stability, what would show in the development of the region’s nations.
It should be remembered that the Arabic Institute for Security Studies is regarded as one of the few specialized institutions in the Middle East region tasked with following all aspects of weapons of mass destructions, the dangers of nuclear proliferation and other nuclear security matters.
It should be remembered that the Iranian-Saudi relations are lately witnessing an improvement showed by a number of Iranian-Saudi meetings, but also by Iran restarting its exports to Saudi Arabia. This step is regarded as the result of negotiations with Riyadh with the mediation of Iraq.

المعهد العربي لدراسات الأمن يستضيف جلسة الحوار الأمني بين السعودية وإيران، والأمين العام للمعهد يقول إن الجلسة أظهرت رغبة متبادلة من الطرفين في تطوير العلاقات.
اختتمت اليوم الإثنين جلسة الحوار الأمني بين السعودية وإيران بمشاركة خبراء من الجانبين.
الجلسة التي استضافها المعهد العربي لدراسات الأمن ومقرّه عمّان، ناقشت بحسب وكالة “بترا” عدداً من القضايا الأمنية والتقنيةـ وأظهر فيها الجانبان رغبة متبادلة في تطوير العلاقات وتعزيز الاستقرار الاقليمي.
وناقشت الجلسة عدداً من القضايا الأمنية والتقنية ركزت على الحد من تهديد الصواريخ وآليات الإطلاق، والإجراءات الفنية لبناء الثقة بين الطرفين وتحديداً فيما يتعلق ببرنامج إيران النووي، والتعاون في مجال الوقود النووي ومحاور أخرى.
ونقلت الوكالة عن الأمين العام للمعهد العربي لدراسات الأمن، أيمن خليل، قوله إن أجواء من الاحترام المتبادل سادت الجلسة، التي أظهرت رغبة متبادلة من الطرفين في تطوير العلاقات وتعزيز الاستقرار الاقليمي، بما ينعكس على ازدهار شعوب المنطقة.
يذكر أن المعهد العربي لدراسات الأمن يعتبر من المؤسسات القليلة المتخصصة في منطقة الشرق الاوسط والمعني بمتابعة كل ما يتعلق بأسلحة الدمار الشامل وحظر الانتشار النووي وقضايا الامن النووي.
يذكر أن العلاقات الإيرانية السعودية تشهد تطوراً في الآونة الأخيرة تمثل بعددٍ من اللقاءات الإيرانية – السعودية، كذلك استأنفت إيران صادراتها إلى السعودية، واعتبرت أن هذه الخطوة هي ثمرة المباحثات مع الرياض بواسطة العراق
