Iraqi Head of Cabinet Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī received a telephone call from Iranian President Ḥasan Rōḥānī, in which he congratulated al-Kāẓimī and expressed his hope for his ability to lead the country, wishing success for his new government.

A statement by the office of al-Kāẓimī mentioned that “the Iranian president reassured that his country always strives to improve the relations between the two neighboring states in all fields and that he looks forward for opening of the border crossings to the flow of trade, according to what safety measures allow.
The statement added that “the two sides also studied the matter of economic cooperation in general, and especially the matter of shared industrial fields”.
According to the statement, al-Kāẓimī gave “thanks to the Iranian president, wishing the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian people to be well and flourish”.

تلقى رئيس مجلس الوزراء العراقي مصطفى الكاظمي اتصالا هاتفيا من الرئيس الإيراني، حسن روحاني، هنأ فيه الكاظمي، واعرب عن تفاؤله بقدرته على قيادة البلد، متمنيا النجاح للحكومة الجديدة
وذكر بيان لمكتب الكاظمي، أن “الرئيس الإيراني أكد أن بلاده تسعى دوما لتطوير العلاقات بين البلدين الجارين في جميع المجالات، وأنها تتطلع لفتح المنافذ الحدودية للحركة التجارية، وفق ما تسمح به الإجراءات الوقائية
وأضاف البيان أن “الجانبين بحثا أيضاً ملف التعاون الاقتصادي بشكل عام، وموضوع المناطق الصناعية المشتركة على وجه الخصوص
وقدّم الكاظمي وفقاً للبيان “الشكر للرئيس الإيراني، متمنيا للجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية وللشعب الإيراني الخير والإزدهار
