A post by Ruler of Dubai, Vice President of the State of the Emirates and Prime Minister Muḥammad ibn Rāšid Āl Maktūm on Saturday gained widespread attention on the social media platforms, while certain readings give it its own meaning.
In his post wrote Muḥammad ibn Rāšid wrote: “the responsibility is a moral trust”, confirming that the am official that concentrates only on his personal success has no integrity and that the duty of an official is reflected in his strive for success for everyone within the national working apparatus.
He added that “selfishness in the general work field counts to be a treason of integrity”: underlining that the nation is not dividable and that the true official is the one that take care for the state with all its components.
A message to Muḥammad ibn Zāyid about the dissatisfaction with the policy of Abū Zabī?
Commenting the post Saudi activists said that it might be a message to the President of the State Muḥammad ibn Zāyid Āl Nahyān and that the rest of the Emirates are not happy with the policies of Abū Zabī.
The Saudi accounts had a widespread reaction to the post of Muḥammad ibn Rāšid, saying that public opposition started to appear against the policies of Abū Zabī.
Likewise Emirati officials, including ‘Abd Allah Ḥāmid and Sulṭān al-Ğābir retweeted the post.
On the other hand others believe that what the post held is simply a quotation from the book “Life thought me” within a series of guidance messages regularly posted by Muḥammad ibn Rāšid, concentrating on the understandings of success and general responsibility, without any political implications.
A number of Emirati officials commented on the post celebrating its content, a sign of support for the messages that call for strengthening the fundamental works and concentrating on internal development.
In summary, the division of the commentators and the activists about this post as some of them believed that it held a hidden message about ten priorities of the foreign policy, all points to a period of indirect messages between a “the two Muḥammads” in the Emirates.
The other side defended the positive context of the post that should be viewed within the series of regular advises shared by Ibn Rāšid and does not carry any personal messaging, all confirming that the relationship between the two leaderships in the Emirates is still strong and built of mutual respect and partnership building the state.
Despite the massive number of explanations, no official comment was given about the post, or any of the political context.
This contradiction came after posts witnessed in the Emirati foreign policy following the American-Israeli aggression against Iran and closing the the Strait of Hormuz, as Abū Zabī chose to withdraw from the OPEC, and the OPEC+ organizations, while certain reports show that the differences with the Saudis.

أثارت تغريدة نشرها حاكم دبي ونائب رئيس دولة الإمارات ورئيس مجلس الوزراء، محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، أمس السبت، أثارت تفاعلاً واسعاً على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، وسط قراءات متباينة لمعانيها.
وقال محمد بن راشد في تغريدته إنّ “المسؤولية أمانة”، مؤكّداً أنّ المسؤول الذي يركّز على نجاحه الشخصي فقط لا يُعدّ أميناً، وأنّ واجب المسؤول يتمثّل في السعي لنجاح الجميع داخل منظومة العمل الوطني.
وأضاف أنّ “الأنانية في العمل العامّ تُعدّ خيانة للأمانة”، مشدّداً على أنّ الوطن لا يتجزّأ، وأنّ المسؤول الحقيقي هو من يحمل همّ الدولة بكلّ مكوّناتها
رسالة إلى محمد بن زايد حول السخط عن سياسة أبو ظبي؟
وتعليقاً على التغريدة، قال ناشطون سعوديون إنها قد تكون رسالة إلى رئيس الدولة محمد بن زايد آل نهيان، بعدم رضا بقية الإمارات عن سياسة أبو ظبي
وتفاعلت حسابات سعودية على نطاق واسع مع تغريدة محمد بن راشد، قائلين إنه بدأ بإظهار الاحتجاج العلني على سياسة أبو ظبي.
كذلك، أشاد مسؤولون إماراتيون بينهم عبد الله آل حامد، وسلطان الجابر، بتغريدة حاكم دبي.
بينما اعتبر آخرون أنّ ما ورد في التغريدة لا يتجاوز كونه اقتباساً من كتاب “علّمتني الحياة”، ضمن سلسلة من الرسائل التوجيهية التي ينشرها محمد بن راشد بشكل دوري، وتركّز على مفاهيم الإدارة والنجاح والمسؤولية العامّة، من دون أيّ دلالات سياسية.
وتفاعل عدد من المسؤولين الإماراتيين مع التغريدة بالإشادة بمضمونها، في إشارة إلى دعم الرسائل التي تدعو إلى تعزيز العمل المؤسسي والتركيز على التنمية الداخلية.
بالخلاصة، انقسم المحللون والناشطون على هذه التغريدة، فمنهم رأى أنها تحمل رسالة مبطّنة تتضمّن خلافات خفية حول أولويات السياسة الخارجية، مشيرين إلى تاريخ من الرسائل غير المباشرة بين “المحمّدين” في الإمارات.
وفريق آخر دافع عن السياق الإيجابي في سياق أنّ التغريدة تندرج ضمن سلسلة نصائح دورية يطلقها ابن راشد، ولا تحمل أيّ إشارة شخصية، مؤكّدين أنّ العلاقات بين القيادتين في الإمارات تبقى متينة ومبنية على الاحترام المتبادل والشراكة في بناء الدولة.
ورغم كثافة التفسيرات، لم يصدر أيّ تعليق رسمي يربط التغريدة بأيّ سياق سياسي.
يأتي هذا الجدل بعد تغييرات تشهدها السياسة الإماراتية الخارجية عقب العدوان الأميركي الإسرائيلي على إيران وإغلاق مضيق هرمز، حيث عمدت أبو ظبي إلى الانسحاب من أوبك وأوبك+، كما تشير تقارير إلى تصاعد الخلاف مع السعودية
