The Commander of the Revolutionary Guards in Iran comments the threats of the White House against Iran following the sanctions on Americans and confirms that his country does not operate “according to the orders of the White House”.
Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Major General Ḥosseyn Salāmī in a special statement to al-Mayadeen confirmed today, on Monday that “the place of the Americans is within their own territories and not in our region”.
Commenting the warnings the White House issued against Iran aiming to take revenge on the Americans in response to the assassination of General Qāsem Soleymānī Salāmī said: “I believe that the Americans arrived to this conclusion, which can be summed up as that their remain in the region will only lead them to take more losses and more failures either by our revenge or by other ways”.
Salāmī added that “the Americans accept this reality”. Thus pointing out that “their place is not in our region, and they have to be present within their lands, not in Iraq, Afghanistan, or in Bahrain, Kuwait and Syria”.
He explained that “the Muslims will not allow them to occupy their lands”. Thus underlining that “we will not act in accordance with the orders of the White House. We act according to our own programs and plans”.
The White House yesterday, on Monday for the first time commented on Iran imposing sanctions on 51 Americans connected to the assassination of the Commander of the Jerusalem Forces within the Revolutionary Guards, Martyr Qāsem Soleymānī.
The White House said in its statement that “Iran will face consequences and repercussions, if it launched attacks on Americans, including any persons amongst the 51 people, upon whom Tehran imposed sanctions”.
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry the Iranian authorities last Saturday imposed new sanctions upon 51 American officials, who took part in the operation against Martyr Soleymānī, including among them Commander of the Board of Military Staff Mark Miley and former National Security Advisor to the President Robert O’Brian.
It should be remembered that the former Commander of the “Jerusalem Forces” General Qāsem Soleymānī and Deputy President of the “al-Ḥašd aš-Ša‘bī” Abū Mahdī al-Muhandis were martyred following an American assassination close to Baghdad International Airport on 3 January 2020.

قائد حرس الثورة في إيران يعلّق على تهديد البيت الأبيض لإيران على خلفية عقوباتها على أميركيين، ويؤكد أنّ بلاده لا تعمل “وفق أوامر البيت الأبيض
أكد قائد حرس الثورة الإسلامية، اللواء حسين سلامي، في تصريح خاص بالميادين، اليوم الإثنين، أنّ “مكان الأميركيين هو داخل أراضيهم، وليس في منطقتنا”.
وتعليقاً على التحذير الذي وجَّهه البيت الأبيض إلى إيران من مغبة الانتقام من الأميركيين رداً على اغتيال الفريق قاسم سليماني، قال سلامي “أتصور أنّ الأميركيين توصّلوا إلى هذه النتيجة، ومفادها أنّ بقاءهم في المنطقة لن يؤدي سوى إلى تكبدهم مزيداً من الخسائر ومزيداً من الفشل، سواء كان من خلال انتقامنا أو غير ذلك”.
وأضاف سلامي أن “على الأميركيين تقبُّل هذا الواقع”، لافتاً إلى أنّ “مكانهم ليس في منطقتنا، وعليهم أن يكونوا حاضرين داخل أراضيهم، وليس في العراق وأفغانستان، أو البحرين والكويت أو سوريا”.
وأوضح أنّ “المسلمين لن يسمحوا لهم باحتلال أراضيهم”، مشدداً على “أنّنا لا نعمل وفق أوامر البيت الأبيض، نحن نعمل وفق برامجنا ومخططاتنا”.
وكان البيت الأبيض علّق أمس الأحد، لأول مرة، على فرض إيران عقوبات على 51 أميركياً متورطين في اغتيال قائد قوة القدس في حرس الثورة، الشهيد قاسم سليماني.
وقال البيت الأبيض، في بيان له، إنّ “إيران ستواجه عواقب وخيمة إذا شنّت هجمات على الأميركيين، بمن في ذلك أي فرد من بين الأشخاص الـ51 الذين فرضت عليهم طهران عقوبات”.
وفرضت السلطات الإيرانية، السبت الفائت، عقوبات جديدة على 51 مسؤولاً أميركياً شاركوا في العملية ضد الشهيد سليماني، بمن فيهم رئيس لجنة رؤساء الأركان مارك ميلي، والمستشار السابق للرئيس الأميركي للأمن القومي، روبرت أوبراين، بحسب وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية.
يُذكَر أنّ قائد “قوة القدس” السابق الفريق قاسم سليماني، ونائب رئيس هيئة “الحشد الشعبي” أبا مهدي المهندس، استُشهدا جرّاء عملية اغتيال أميركية قرب مطار بغداد الدولي، في الـ 3 من كانون الثاني/يناير 2020
