The Syrian Army conducts a comprehensive tactical military drill under the oversight of Russian army units close to the city of as-Suwaydā’ in southern Syria.

The representative of the Russian forces in Syria, Alexey Zakharov said: “Today we used units from the tactical group and the mixed Syrian forces tactical group and mixed artillery group including in it a number of missile launching systems, in addition to the regional tank units. The Syrian reopened conducted the drill with success”.
Zakharov confirmed: “The Syrian comrades were tested and proved to be excellent and outstanding”.
Drones (UAVs) were also used to target multiple missile launching systems. The use of these not only allows us to guide the strikes to the target, but also to asses the number of the armed troops and the strength of the their position.
On the other hand the representative of the Syrian Armed Forces ‘Umar ‘Alī explained: “These drones increase the efficiency of all artillery. There might be a fortified position for the armed groups. Now one or two missiles are enough against it. Or if there is a gathering by the armed men, we can deal with all of them at the same time”.

أجرى الجيش السوري مناورة تكتيكية شاملة بمشاركة وإشراف وحدات من الجيش الروسي بالقرب من مدينة السويداء جنوب سوريا

وقال ممثل مجموعة القوات الروسية في سوريا، أليكسي زخاروف: “استخدمنا اليوم وحدات من مجموعة تكتيكية، ومجموعة تكتيكية مختلطة من القوات السورية ومجموعة مدفعية مختلطة، تتكون من أنظمة إطلاق صواريخ متعددة.. بالإضافة إلى وحدات فرعية للدبابات. وأدت القوات السورية المناورة بفعالية “.
وأكد زاخاروف: “وتم تقييم الرفاق السوريين على أنهم جيدون وممتازون”.
وتم استخدام الطائرات بدون طيار (UAVs) لاستهداف أنظمة إطلاق صواريخ متعددة. وسمح استخدامها ليس فقط في توجيه السلاح إلى الهدف، ولكن أيضا لتحديد عدد المسلحين، وقوة موقعهم.
من جهته أوضح ممثل القوات المسلحة السورية عمر علي، “أن هذا (طائرات UAVs) يرفع من استخدام كل قذيفة بشكل فعال.. ربما يكون هناك نوع من المواقع المحصنة للمسلحين، ربما يكون صاروخ أو صاروخان كافيا لذلك، وإذا كان هناك ازدحام بالمسلحين، فيمكننا إطلاق الحزمة بأكملها فيي وقت واحد”.
