The Iranian President has called his Turkish colleague to thank him for the position of his country about the Israeli aggression against the Iranian Consulate in Damascus.

Iranian President Ebrāhīm Ra’īsī thanked his Turkish colleague Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for the Turkish condemnation of the Israeli attack against the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
In a telephone conversation held on Wednesday between the two presidents, Ra’īsī underlined that “cutting the economic and political ties between the Muslim states and the Zionist Entity is the most appropriate solution to deter its crimes”.
On his behalf Erdoğan reiterated his condemnation of the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate, pointing out that “Israel” today is more hated and isolated than any time before”.

In this context Leader of the Islamic Republic in Iran and the Islamic Revolution as-Sayyid ‘Alī al-Hāmeneī on Wednesday confirmed that the Zionist Entity will be punished for the crime of the Iranian Consulate in Damascus”.
He underlined that “the Usurping Entity committed a mistake by attacking the Iranian consulate in Syria”, pointing out that “the consulates and the embassies are considered part of the country they belong to and thus they attacked the consulate as if they attacked our land”.
He confirmed that “the shameless Entity made a mistake by the attack against our consulate, it must be punished and will receive its punishment”.
The Iranian consulate in Damascus on 1 April had suffered an Israeli airstrike, in which Commander of the Jerusalem Forces in Lebanon and Syria Brigadier General Moḥammad Reẓā Zāhedī became martyr along with a number of Iranian advisors and a number of Syrian civilians who were in the vicinity of the targeted area.

شكر الرئيس الإيراني، إبراهيم رئيسي، نظيره التركي، رجب طيب إردوغان، على الإدانة التركية للهجوم الإسرائيلي على القنصلية الإيرانية في دمشق.
وفي اتصال هاتفي، جرى اليوم، بين الرئيسين، شدّد رئيسي على أنّ “قطع العلاقات. الاقتصادية والسياسية بين الدول الإسلامية والكيان الصهيوني هو الحل الأكثر جدوى لردع جرائمه”.
بدوره أعاد إردوغان إدانته الهجوم الإسرائيلي على القنصلية الإيرانية، مشيراً إلى أنّ “إسرائيل” اليوم. مكروهة ومعزولة أكثر من أي وقت مضى
وفي السياق، أكد قائد الثورة والجمهورية الإسلامية في إيران، السيد علي خامنئي، اليوم. الأربعاء، أنّ الكيان الصهيوني سيعاقب على جريمة القنصلية الإيرانية في دمشق.
مشدّداً على أنّ “الكيان الغاصب ارتكب خطأً بالهجوم على القنصلية الإيرانية في سوريا”، لافتاً إلى. أنّ “القنصليات والسفارات تُعدّ جزءاً من أراضي الدول التابعة لها، وحين هاجموا القنصلية فكأنهم هاجموا أراضينا”.
وأكد أنّ “الكيان الخبيث أخطأ في الهجوم على قنصليتنا وعليه أن يعاقب وسينال العقاب على ذلك”.
وكانت القنصلية الإيرانية في دمشق، قد تعرّضت في الأول من نيسان لاعتداء جوي إسرائيلي، استشهد. على أثره قائد قوة القدس في لبنان وسوريا، العميد محمد رضا زاهدي، إضافة لمجموعة من المستشارين. الإيرانيين، وعدد من المدنيين السوريين كانوا موجودين في محيط منطقة الاستهداف
