The Iranian Foreign Minister calls upon the states of the Gulf region for regional cooperation to support the stability in the region and believes that regional cooperation is the only way to provide security and stability.
Iranian Foreign Minister Moḥammad Ğavād Ẓarīf today, on Thursday called upon the states of the Gulf region for regional cooperation to strengthen the regional security and stability.
On his Twitter accounted Ẓarīf posted in Arabic the following, saying: “Our dear neighbors! There is a chance given ahead of us to reestablish hope in the cause of regional security. We also know that such security cannot be bought with money and cannot be fulfilled the accumulation of arms”.
He believed that “the only way to achieve the security and stability is the wide-ranged regional cooperation between the states of the region. Therefore Iran has confirmed its readiness for launching such cooperation”.
A few days ago Ẓarīf confirmed that the Gulf region is in need of dialogue, cooperation, and study of the factors of trust between the states of the region, thus stressing that his country will keep the doors for its neighbors open about this matter.
Ẓarīf’s words came after he took a regional tour including Baku, Moscow, Yerevan, Tbilisi, and Ankara, and from the Azerbaijani capital, he stressed that the doors of his country are open for its neighbors for cooperation and dialogue.
The Irani Foreign Minister last Friday had announced also that “the Iranian hand is always stretched out for dialogue with the Gulf states, and the stability and security of this region are in the interest of all”.
At the beginning of this month, the Iranian Foreign Minister praised Qatar for holding a Gulf Summit “for the success of brave resistance against pressures”, and sent a message to Iran’s Arab neighbors: “Iran is not an enemy”.
On the other hand official spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Sa‘īd Haṭībzāde confirmed that: “Saudi Arabia has artificial fears of Iran”. Thus signaling the readiness of his country “for negotiations with it about these fears”.
He also pointed out that Iran will be “the first country to welcome any real change in the Saudi policy”, and pointed out that: “If Riyadh realized that the solution for the problems of the region will be via regional cooperation than Teheran will be the first to welcome it”.

وزير الخارجية الإيراني يدعو دول منطقة الخليج إلى التعاون الإقليمي لإرساء الاستقرار بالمنطقة، ويعتبر أن التعاون الإقليمي هو السبيل الوحيد لإرساء الأمن والاستقرار.
دعا وزير الخارجية الإيراني محمد جواد ظريف اليوم الخميس، دول منطقة الخليج إلى التعاون الإقليمي لإرساء الأمن والاستقرار بالمنطقة
وغرّد ظريف على حسابه على “تويتر” باللغة العربية قائلاً “جیراننا الکرام، الفرصة متاحه أمامنا لنعيد التأمل في قضية الأمن الإقليمي. كما نعلم مثل هذا الأمن لا يمكن شراؤه بالمال وتحقيقه عبر تكديس السلاح
واعتبر أن “السبيل الوحيد لإرساء الأمن والاستقرار هو التعاون الإقليمي الواسع بين دول المنطقة. ولطالما أكدت إيران استعدادها لتفعيل مثل هذا التعاون
وقبل أيام، أكّد ظريف بأن منطقة الخليج تحتاج إلى الحوار والتعاون والبحث عن عوامل الثقة بين دول المنطقة، مشدداً على أن بلاده ستبقي أبوابه مفتوحة للجيران فيما يخض هذا الجانب
كلام ظريف جاء بعد قيامه بجولة إقليمية تشمل باكو وموسكو ويريفان وتبليسي وأنقرة، وشدد من العاصمة الأذربيجانية على أن أبواب بلاده مفتوحة أمام جيرانها للتعاون والحوار
وكان وزير الخارجية الإيراني قد أعلن يوم الجمعة الماضي كذلك، أن “اليد الإيرانية ممدودة دوماً للحوار مع دول الخليج، واستقرار الأمن في هذه المنطقة في صالح الجميع
ومطلع الشهر الحالي، هنئ وزير الخارجية الإيرانية قطر بعد انعقاد القمة الخليجية “لنجاح مقاومتها الشجاعة أمام الضغوط”، ووجه رسالة لجيران إيران العرب: “إيران ليست عدوة
وفي وقت سابق، أكّد المتحدث باسم الخارجية الإيرانية سعيد خطيب زاده، أن “لدى السعودية مخاوف وهمية من إيران“، مبدياً استعداد بلاده “للحوار معها حول هذه المخاوف
وإذ أشار إلى أن إيران ستكون “أول من يرحب بأي تغيير حقيقي في السياسة السعودية”، أشار إلى أنه “إذا أدركت الرياض بأن حل مشكلات المنطقة يكون عبر التعاون الإقليمي، ستكون طهران أول المرحبين
