The Israeli media states that the agreement drawing the maritime borders is “a complete surrender by Israel”.
The Israeli media on Tuesday cited a high-ranking Israeli official in the field of natural gas, who described the “agreement drawing the maritime borders taken with Lebanon” as “complete surrender by Israel”.
The Israeli media said that “the agreement that is taking shape now is a total surrender to Lebanon by the head of the occupation government Yair Lapid and Israeli Security Minister Benny Gantz”, pointing out that “misleading Israel is a huge victory for Ḥizb Allah Secretary-General (as-Sayyid) Ḥasan Naṣr Allah”.
And added that “If Israel conducted negotiations like that about other matters as well then it is a very concerning thing”.
On Tuesday the Israeli media revealed that the head of the Israeli occupation’s government Yair Lapid secretly met the American mediator Amos Hockstein as a signal of progress in the negotiations between the Lebanese and the Israeli sides.
A Lebanese diplomatic source confirmed on Tuesday that Lebanon “refused an Israeli offer stating Beirut’s renouncing a section of Block #8 north of the 23rd parallel” in exchange for “Israel giving up the Qānā gas field”.
A source told the Russian “Sputnik” agency that “the Israeli offer contained Israel giving up the Qānā gas field in exchange for Lebanon giving up an area north of the 23rd parallel, precisely the southwest section of Block #8.
The correspondent of the al-Mayadeen confirmed yesterday that the meeting between Hockstein and the three leaders ended without any mention of final results, thus pointing out “no agreement until now, yet there are talks about a need for more time”.
Lebanese sources to the correspondent of al-Mayadeen stated that American mediator Hockstein “wants to reach a fast solution before the end of the summer”, and that “he came in a positive atmosphere”.

نقلت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية، اليوم الثلاثاء، عن مسؤول إسرائيلي كبير في قطاع الغاز وصفه “اتفاقية ترسيم الحدود البحرية التي تتبلور مع لبنان”، بأنها “استسلامٌ كامل من جانب إسرائيل”.
وقالت وسائل الإعلام الإسرائيلية إنّ “الاتفاقية، التي تتبلور الآن، هي استسلامٌ كامل للبنان من جانب رئيس حكومة الاحتلال، يائير لابيد، ووزير الأمن الإسرائيلي، بيني غانتس”، لافتةً إلى أنّ “خضوع إسرائيل انتصارٌ كبير للأمين العام لحزب الله (السيد) حسن نصر الله”.
وأضافت أنّه “إذا أجرت إسرائيل مثل هذه المفاوضات بشأن قضايا أخرى أيضاً، فهذا أمرٌ مقلق للغاية”.
واليوم الثلاثاء، كشفت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية أنّ رئيس حكومة الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، يائير لابيد، التقى أمس سراً الوسيط الأميركي، عاموس هوكستاين، وذلك في إشارة إلى تقدّم المباحثات بين الطرفين اللبناني والإسرائيلي.
وأكّد مصدرٌ دبلوماسي لبناني، أمس الإثنين، أنّ لبنان “رفض عرضاً إسرائيلياً يقضي بتنازل بيروت عن جزء من البلوك الرقم 8 شمالي الخط الـ23″، في مقابل “تنازل إسرائيل عن حقل قانا للغاز”.
وقال المصدر لوكالة “سبوتنيك” الروسية إن “العرض الإسرائيلي يتضمن تنازل إسرائيل عن حقل قانا في مقابل تنازل لبنان عن مساحة شمالي الخط الـ23، وتحديداً الجزء الغربي الجنوبي من البلوك الرقم 8”.
وأكّد مراسل الميادين، أمس الإثنين، أنّ اجتماع هوكستاين بالرؤساء الثلاثة انتهى من دون الحديث عن نتيجة نهائية، مشيراً إلى أنّ “لا اتفاق حتى اللحظة، بل يدور الحديث عن الحاجة إلى مزيد من الوقت”.
وأفادت مصادر لبنانية لمراسل الميادين بأنّ الوسيط الأميركي هوكستاين “يريد أن يصل إلى حلّ سريع قبل نهاية الصيف”، وأنّ “الأجواء التي أتى بها إيجابية”.
وقدّمت “إسرائيل”، قبل أيام، مقترحاً للولايات المتحدة الأميركية، أبدت فيه استعدادها لتقديم تنازلات فيما يتعلق بمنطقة الخلاف مع لبنان.
