The Tunisian an-Nahḍa Movement says that its leader, Rāšid al-Ġannūšī is under investigation for describing the police as “tyranny”.
The Tunisian opposition an-Nahḍa Movement said on Wednesday that its leader, Rāšid al-Ġannūšī is under investigation by the police under the charge that he described the security forces as “tyranny”, despite the movement denying this and accused the authorities of “attack and terror against the opposition”. Believing that it is “a pitiful attempt to fabricate a case”.
On its behalf, the leadership of the an-Nahḍa Movement renounced the charge raised against al-Ġannūšī, and described the investigations against him as a “political attack” by President Qays Sa‘īd, who took over practically all powers in the country.
The Movement pointed out that “a section of the National Guard at al-‘Awīna conducts an investigation against al-Ġannūšī”, pointing out that the latter denied this charge and that he did not describe the police with these words “not suggesting it, nor stating it”.
On 20 July the investigation against al-Ġannūšī ended under a charge connected to terrorism and money laundering and the judge of the investigation decreed to release him.
And on 7 March al-Ġannūšī was already under investigation at the Central Investigation Unit that belongs to the National Guard in relation to a case that was raised by the General Security of the Internal Security Forces against him after he cursed the security personnel with “tyrants”. This is according to the General Secretary of the Internal Security Forces’ Profession Union led by ‘Izz ad-Dīn al-Faṭḥalī, who confirmed this.
The General Secretariat of the Tunisian Security Forces filed an official complaint to the judiciary against al-Ġannūšī he cursed the security personnel as “tyrants”.
In this context Deputy Secretary General of the Internal Security Forces’ General Secretariat Mu‘izz ad-Dabābī said that the description by al-Ġannūšī against the security personnel for them being “tyrants” is a call for the terrorist groups to eliminate the security personnel and attack them, pointing out that the judiciary rulings in cases as such “cases can reach up to 5 years”.

قالت حركة النهضة التونسية المعارضة، اليوم الأربعاء، إنّ زعيمها راشد الغنوشي، يخضع للتحقيق مع الشرطة بتهمة وصف قوات الأمن بـ”الطاغوت”، رغم أنّ الحركة تنفي ذلك، وتتهم السلطات بـ”استهداف وترهيب المعارضين”، معتبرةً أنها “محاولة سخيفة لفبركة ملف
من جهتها نفت قيادة النهضة التهمة الموجهة إلى الغنوشي، ووصفت التحقيقات معه بأنها “استهداف سياسي” من جانب الرئيس قيس سعيد، الذي تولى جميع السلطات تقريباً في البلاد.
وأشارت الحركة إلى أنّ “فرقة الحرس الوطني بالعوينة تجري التحقيق مع الغنوشي”، لافتةً إلى أنّ الأخير نفى هذه التهمة، وأنه لم يصف الشرطة بهذه الكلمة “لا تلميحاً ولا تصريحاً
وفي 20 تموز/يوليو من الشهر الماضي، انتهى التحقيق مع الغنوشي، بتُهم تتعلق بالإرهاب وتبييض الأموال، وقرر قاضي التحقيق إطلاق سراحه.
وكان الغنوشي قد أحيل على التحقيق في 7 آذار/مارس الماضي، أمام الوحدة المركزية للأبحاث التابعة للحرس الوطني، على خلفية القضية التي تقدمت بها الأمانة العامة لقوات الأمن الداخلي ضده، بعد نعته الأمنيين بـ”الطغاة”، وذلك وفق ما أكده الكاتب العام للاتحاد الجهوي لقوات الأمن الداخلي باريانة عز الدين الفطحلي.
وقدمت الأمانة العامة لقوات الأمن التونسي، شكوى رسمية للقضاء ضد الغنوشي، بعد نعته لعناصر الأمن بـ”الطواغيت”.
وفي هذا الإطار، قال الأمين العام المساعد للأمانة العامة لقوات الأمن الداخلي، معز الدبابي، إنّ تصنيف الغنوشي للأمنيين كـ”طواغيت”، هي دعوة للجماعات الإرهابية لتصفية عناصر الأمن واستهدافهم، مشيراً إلى أنّ الأحكام القضائية في مثل “هذه القضايا قد تصل إلى 5 سنوات
