Iranian Foreign Minister ‘Abbās ‘Arāqčī with the Commander of the Pakistani Army Field Marshal ‘Āṣim Munīr in Tehran discusses the viewpoints about the latest diplomatic efforts and initiatives to prevent the prevent further escalation and to end the war imposed on Iran.

On Friday Iranian Foreign Minister ‘Abbās ‘Arāqčī met with the Commander of the Pakistani Army Field Marshal ‘Āṣim Munīr, who is in a visit to Tehran with the aim to discuss and exchange views with the Iranian official. This is according to what the Iranian Foreign Ministry reported.
In the meeting that lasted until the late hours of the night the two sides exchanged views about the latest diplomatic efforts and initiatives to prevent the escalation and to end the war imposed on Iran by the United States and the Israeli Occupation.
The two sides discussed the appropriate ways to enhance peace, stability and security in the West Asian region.
Diplomatic moves
On Friday the Commander of the Pakistani Arms arrived to Tehran within a mediation with the United States aiming to end the war and solve the differences, while some of the officials confirmed that the presence of Munīr does not mean a guarantee that an understanding is reached about the preliminary framework. That is according to what the ISNA news agency reported.
In this context the Tasnīm news agency cited official spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmā‘īl Baqā’ī commenting the visit saying that “these visits are the continuation of the same diplomatic path”.
He added: “We cannot say that we have definitely reached a phase where the agreement is close”. He added that “also a Qatari delegation is conducting talks with Foreign Minister ‘Abbās ‘Arāqčī”, yet “the mediator in the negotiations is still the Pakistani side”.
Aside from that ‘Arāqčī held separate telephone calls with his Turkish, Qatari and Iraqi colleagues, as they discussed the bilateral ties and exchanged views about the latest regional and international developments. This is according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
These diplomatic moves came at a time the regional and international mediations continue while at the same time Washington is studying the military options in case the negotiating path failed.
On Friday a joint initiative between China and Pakistan was announced that will be discussed during the visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Muḥammad Šahbāz Šarīf to Beijing on Saturday, at the same time with ‘Arāqčī meeting Pakistani Interior Minister Moḥsen Naqawī to study the suggestions to end the differences.

التقى وزير الخارجية الإيراني، عباس عراقتشي، يوم أمس الجمعة، قائد الجيش الباكستاني، المشير عاصم منير، والذي يزور طهران بهدف التشاور وتبادل الآراء مع مسؤولين إيرانيين، وفق ما أفادت وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية.
وفي اللقاء الذي استمر حتى ساعة متأخرة من الليل، تبادل الجانبان وجهات النظر بشأن آخر الجهود والمبادرات الدبلوماسية لمنع تصاعد التوتر وإنهاء الحرب المفروضة من قبل الولايات المتحدة والاحتلال الإسرائيلي ضد إيران.
كما بحث الجانبان في السبل الكفيلة بتعزيز السلام والاستقرار والأمن في منطقة غرب آسيا
تحركات دبلوماسية
وأمس، وصل قائد الجيش الباكستاني إلى طهران في إطار الوساطة مع الولايات المتحدة بهدف إنهاء الحرب وحلّ الخلافات، فيما أكد بعض المسؤولين أنّ حضور منير لا يعني بالضرورة حتمية التوصّل إلى تفاهم بشأن الإطار الأولي، بحسب ما نقلت وكالة “إيسنا”.
وفي الإطار، نقلت “تسنيم” عن المتحدّث باسم الخارجية الإيرانية إسماعيل بقائي تعقيباً على الزيارة قوله، إنّ “هذه الزيارات هي استمرار للمسار الدبلوماسي ذاته”.
وأضاف: “لا يمكننا القول إننا وصلنا بالضرورة إلى مرحلة أصبح فيها الاتفاق قريباً”، مضيفاً أنّ “ثمّة وفداً قطرياً يجري محادثات مع وزير الخارجية عباس عراقتشي”، إلا أنّ “الوسيط في المفاوضات لا يزال الطرف الباكستاني”.
إلى ذلك، أجرى عراقتشي اتصالات هاتفية منفصلة مع نظرائه التركي والقطري والعراقي، حيث بحثوا القضايا الثنائية وتبادلوا الآراء بشأن آخر التطورات الإقليمية والدولية، وفق الخارجية الإيرانية.
وتأتي هذه التحركات الدبلوماسية في وقتٍ تتواصل الوساطات الإقليمية والدولية بالتزامن مع بحث واشنطن خيارات عسكرية في حال تعثّر المسار التفاوضي.
وأمس، أعلن عن مبادرة مشتركة بين الصين وباكستان سيناقشها رئيس وزراء باكستان محمد شهباز شريف خلال زيارة لبيجين اليوم، في وقتٍ التقى عراقتشي مع وزير الداخلية الباكستاني محسن نقوي لدراسة مقترحات حلّ الخلافات
