The You News agency reported that Iran foiled a scenario of Syrian military intervention in Lebanon that was being planned out based on an American request.
The news agency pointed out that Tehran warned Damascus through the Turks that an military intervention to Lebanese territories will be met with igniting multiple fronts within Syrian and along its borders.
The news agency pointed out that the Iranian warning was not only addressed to Damascus alone, but also arrived at Ankara, Baghdad, Doha and Riyadh. The message held that a Syrian onslaught against Ḥizb Allah may transform into a large scale regional confrontation within Syria.
The news agency said that the warning included a caution about missiles bombardment starting with Damascus and extending in the first strike to more than 100 strategic targets starting with the presidential palace.
The Iranian warning pushed regional actors to review the cost of this scenario, especially that Syrian does not seem to have the capability to hold the cost of a new internal war. Thus according to the agency.
The agency confirmed that Iran was successful in turning any possible Syrian military intervention in Lebanon away from the military option by American marketing into a high cost regional adventure.
The agency revealed that the Syrian military intervention scenario that was suggested included announcing that the city of Tripoli would be a Syrian influence zone.
The agency explained that the supposed goal of the operation was to strike at the missile infrastructure of Ḥizb Allah in the al-Biqā‘ Valley to force it into a setback, or to accept a new security arrangement.
About the stance of the states in concern, the agency said that the Emirates showed its enthusiasm to finance an Syrian military operations in Lebanon and its readiness to pay the wages of the fighters and to sponsor the fighting operations, while Saudi Arabia had no objection against an intervention within arrangements to weaken Ḥizb Allah without blowing up the region, unlike Qatar that rejected the idea.
It pointed out that Director of the Iraqi Intelligence Ḥamīd aš-Šaṭrī visited Damascus and informed the Syrian officials that Baghdad rejects any Syrian expansion into Lebanese territories.
The news agency continued that Ḥizb Allah does not view the military intervention scenario as an isolated Syrian operation, but considers it part of the American-Israeli regional pressure, as it views the operations also aimed at dismantling the infrastructure of the resistance in Lebanon from the East after the Israeli quagmire in the South.
American President Donald Trump has threatened more than once to turn to the Syrian card against Lebanon, just as American ambassador to Türkiye and Trump’s envoy to Syria and Iraq Tom Barrack had warned before about what he called “Lebanon returning to the States of aš-Šām [Arabic expression meaning to Greater Syria – Amaraia].

أفادت وكالة “يونيوز” بأن إيران أحبطت سيناريو تدخل عسكري سوري في لبنان كان يجري التحضير له بناءً على طلب أميركي.
وأشارت الوكالة إلى أن طهران أنذرت دمشق عبر الأتراك بأن أي دخول عسكري إلى الأراضي اللبنانية سيقابله تحريك لجبهات متعددة داخل سوريا وعلى حدودها.
ولفتت الوكالة إلى أن الإنذار الإيراني لم يكن موجهاً إلى دمشق وحدها بل وصل أيضاً إلى أنقرة وبغداد والدوحة والرياض، وحمل رسالة بأن أي مغامرة سورية ضد حزب الله قد تتحول إلى مواجهة إقليمية واسعة داخل سوريا.
وقالت الوكالة إن الإنذار تضمن تحذيراً بقصف صاروخي بدءاً بدمشق ويشمل في الضربة الأولى أكثر من 100 هدف استراتيجي في مقدمتها القصر الرئاسي.
ودفع الإنذار الإيراني أطرافاً إقليمية إلى مراجعة كلفة السيناريو، خصوصاً أن سوريا لا تبدو قادرة على تحمّل حرب داخلية جديدة، وفقاً للوكالة.
وأكدت الوكالة أن إيران نجحت في تحويل أي تدخل سوري محتمل في لبنان من خيار عسكري قابل للتسويق أميركياً إلى مغامرة إقليمية عالية الكلفة.
وكشفت الوكالة عن أن سيناريو التدخل السوري الذي كان مقترحاً تضمن إعلان مدينة طرابلس منطقة نفوذ سورية.
وأوضحت الوكالة أن الهدف المفترض للعملية كان ضرب البنية الصاروخية لحزب الله في البقاع لإجباره على الانكفاء أو قبول ترتيبات أمنية جديدة.
وعن مواقف الدول المعنية، قالت الوكالة إن الإمارات أبدت حماستها لتمويل أي عملية عسكرية سورية في لبنان واستعدادها لدفع رواتب المقاتلين وتمويل العمليات القتالية، بينما لا تمانع السعودية تدخلاً ضمن ترتيبات تضعف حزب الله من دون تفجير المنطقة، على عكس قطر التي رفضت الفكرة.
وأشارت إلى أن رئيس الاستخبارات العراقي حميد الشطري زار دمشق وأبلغ مسؤولين سوريين رفض بغداد أي تمدد سوري داخل الأراضي اللبنانية.
وتابعت الوكالة بأن حزب الله لا ينظر إلى سيناريو التدخل العسكري بوصفه عملية سورية منفصلة بل باعتباره جزءاً من ضغط أميركي – إسرائيلي إقليمي، كما أنه يرى أن العملية تهدف إلى تفكيك بنية المقاومة في لبنان من الشرق بعد تعثر الحسم الإسرائيلي في الجنوب.
