Emirati National Security Advisor Ṭaḥnūn ibn Zāyid arrives to Tehran today, to study the matters of common interest with Iranian high ranking officials.

The visit by Ṭaḥnūn comes in response to the formal invitation by the Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council ‘Alī Šamhānī. Amongst the goals of the visit is to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries, and to study the latest developments in the region. Political advisor to the Emirati President Anwār Qarqāš had announced previously that Abū Zabī will send a delegation to Tehran to improve the bilateral relations.
Also Syrian Foreign Minister Fayṣal al-Miqdād arrives today to Tehran. It is scheduled that al-Miqdād meets a number of Iranian officials, including Foreign Minister Ḥosseyn Amīr-‘Abdollahiyān.
The media sources mentioned that al-Miqdād’s visit will last two days and he will discuss the strengthening of the strategic relations between the two countries. This is the second visit by al-Miqdād to Iran since he took the office of Foreign Minister and his first since the new Iranian administration led by Ebrāhīm Ra’īsī took office.

يصل مستشار الأمن القومي الإماراتي الشيخ طحنون بن زايد إلى العاصمة طهران اليوم، ليبحث مع كبار المسؤولين الإيرانيين القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك

وتأتي زيارة طحنون تلبيةً لدعوة رسمية من أمين المجلس الأعلى للأمن القومي الايراني علي شمخاني. ومن أهداف الزيارة تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين، وبحث آخر التطورات الإقليمية. وكان المستشار الدبلوماسي للرئيس الإماراتي أنور قرقاش قد أعلن في وقت سابق أن أبوظبي سترسل وفدا إلى طهران لتحسين العلاقات الثنائية.
كما يصل وزير الخارجية السوري فيصل المقداد اليوم الى العاصمة طهران. ومن المقرر أن يلتقي المقداد عددا من المسؤولين الإيرانيين، بينَهم وزير الخارجية حسين امير عبد اللهيان.
وذكرت مصادر اعلامية أن زيارة المقداد ستستمر يومين، وسيبحث تعزيز العلاقات الاستراتيجية بين البلدين. وهذه هي الزيارة الثانية للمقداد إلى إيران منذ توليه منصب وزارة الخارجية، والأولى له في ظل الإدارة الإيرانية الجديدة برئاسة الرئيس إبراهيم رئيسي
