Emirati National Security Advisor Ṭaḥnūn ibn Zāyid during his meeting with the Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council ‘Alī Šamhānī said that “Iran as a big and strong state in the region has a unique geopolitical position and a fast lane to connect the East with the West”.
Emirati National Security Advisor Ṭaḥnūn ibn Zāyid said today, on Monday that improving the brotherly relations with Tehran is our amongst our top priorities, saying that “Iran as a big and strong state has a unique geopolitical position connecting the East of the world with it West”.
This came in a meeting held between the Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council ‘Alī Šamhānī and Emirati National Security Advisor Ṭaḥnūn ibn Zāyid today morning in Tehran.
Šamhānī while welcoming Ibn Zāyid this morning underlined that there should be negotiations and understandings instead of the military path to solve the differences in the region, saying that Iran confirms the necessity for joint efforts to be taken to end some of the military and security crises, which created bad conditions for the peoples of the region.
He expressed his hopes to “make this visit the beginning of a new round of relations between Iran and the Emirates, paving the way for furthering, expanding and making the relations more inclusive between the two countries”. Also adding that “there will be no stability, or lasting security regionally, only by cooperation between jute states of the region”.
According to Šamhānī the “friendly relations with the neighbors and the exchange in economic capabilities, trade and investments are the main priorities for Iran in the foreign politics spectrum”. Thus expressing that “the Gulf states can play an important role in the economy of the region and the world, if they cooperated with each other”.
Previously the “ISNA” Iranian news agency revealed that the visit by Ṭaḥnūn ibn Zāyid comes in response to the invitation of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council ‘Alī Šamhānī, pointing out that Ibn Zāyid will meet with high ranking Iranian officials.

قال مستشار الأمن القومي الإماراتي طحنون بن زايد، اليوم الإثنين، إن تطوير العلاقات الأخوية مع طهران من أهم أولوياتنا، قائلاً إن “إيران دولة كبيرة وقوية بالمنطقة وتتمتع بموقع جيوسياسي فريد يربط بين شرق العالم وغربه”.
جاء ذلك خلال لقاء جمع بين أمين مجلس الأمن القومي الإيراني علي شمخاني ومستشار الأمن القومي الإماراتي طحنون بن زايد صباح اليوم في طهران.
وشدد شمخاني خلال استقباله ابن زايد صباح اليوم، على أنه يجب أن يحل الحوار والتفاهمات مكان النهج العسكري لحل الخلافات في المنطقة، قائلاً إن إيران تؤكد على ضرورة الجهود المشتركة لإنهاء بعض الأزمات العسكرية والأمنية التي تسببت بظروف سيئة لشعوب المنطقة.
وأعرب عن أمله أن “تكون هذه الزيارة بداية لجولة جديدة من العلاقات بين إيران والامارات وتمهيد الطريق لترسيخ وتوسيع شامل للعلاقات بين البلدين”، مضيفاً أن “لن يتحقق الاستقرار والأمن الدائم إقليمياً إلا من خلال تعاون دول المنطقة”.
ووفق شمخاني فإن “العلاقات الودية مع الجيران وتبادل القدرات الاقتصادية والتجارية والاستثمارية من الأولويات الرئيسية لإيران في مجال السياسة الخارجية”، معتبراً أنه “يمكن لدول الخليج أن تلعب دوراً مهماً في اقتصاد المنطقة والعالم إذا تعاونت مع بعضها الآخر”.
