The Libyan “Interim” Government handed in its resignation after a meeting was held between the Speaker of the House of Representatives with the held of the Libyan “Interim” government.
The Libyan “Interim” Government lead by ‘Abd Allah at–Tānī in the east of Libya handed it its resignation to Speaker of the House of the Representatives ‘Aqīla Ṣāliḥ and it is suggested that the resignation to the Parliament will be given for oversight.
Spokesman of the Libyan House of Representatives ‘Abd Allah Bulayḥaq said that the resignation of the government took place in an emergency meeting was held by the Speaker of the Parliament with ‘Abd Allah at–Tānī to study the situation, which caused popular protests in Eastern Libya for the lack of services.
Bulayḥaq confirmed that ‘Aqīla Ṣāliḥ postponed the resignation so to hand it over to the Parliament in its first assembly for revision.
According to the website “Bawwāba Afrīqiyā al-Ihbāriyya” the resignation came during a meeting held by Speaker of the House of Representatives ‘Aqīla Ṣāliḥ with Prime Minister in the Libyan “Interim” government and other officials and also the services and the living conditions of the citizens were studied with the crisis of electrical shortages at the top of the list.
The Libyan capital Tripoli also witnessed popular protests against corruption, as the demonstrators demanded the improvement of the living conditions, also in light of the spread of the Corona epidemic.
The demonstrators raised Libyan flags and boards demanding the constitution be implemented and general elections held.
These protests take place only a few days after the conclusion of the Libyan-Libyan Dialogue in Morocco, which is expected to continue in Geneva in the next phase.

تقدّمت الحكومة الليبية “المؤقتة” برئاسة عبدالله الثني، شرق البلاد، باستقالتها لرئيس مجلس النواب عقيلة صالح، ومن المقرّر أن يتم عرض الاستقالة على المجلس للنظر فيها
وقال المتحدث الرسمي باسم مجلس النواب الليبي عبد الله بليحق، إن استقالة الحكومة تمت في اجتماع طارئ عقده رئيس البرلمان مع الحكومة برئاسة عبد الله الثني، لدراسة الأوضاع التي تسببت في خروج مظاهرات شعبية بشرق ليبيا بسبب نقص الخدمات
وأكد بليحق أن عقيلة صالح أجل البت في الاستقالة لحين عرضها على المجلس في أول جلسة للنظر فيها
وبحسب موقع “بوابة أفريقيا الإخبارية”، فإنّ الاستقالة جاءت خلال اجتماع عقده رئيس مجلس النواب عقيلة صالح مع رئيس مجلس الوزراء في الحكومة الليبية “المؤقتة” ومسؤولين آخرين، كما جرى، بحث الخدمية والمعيشيّة للمواطن، وفي مقدّمتها أزمة انقطاع الكهرباء
كما وشهدت العاصمة طرابلس، تظاهرات شعبية ضد الفساد، حيث طالب المحتجّون بتحسين ظروف معيشتهم، ولا سيما في ظل وباء كورونا
ورفع المحتجون الأعلام الليبية، ولافتات تطالب بتطبيق الدستور وبإجراء انتخابات عامة
وتحصل هذه التظاهرات، بعد أيام قليلة على اختتام الحوار الليبي- الليبي في المغرب، والذي من المتوقع أن يستأنف في جنيف، في مرحلة لاحقة
