Iran responds to the aggression of Washington against the Island of Lārak, targeting the al-Minhād Base in the Emirates and the al-Azraq base in Jordan. The Revolutionary Guards shoots down an MQ-9 drone at the Strait of Hormuz.

On Monday the Public Relations Department of the Iranian Army in a statement announced that its forces targeted the al-Minhād base in the Emirates with suicide drones, in response to the American aggression that had targeted Lārak Island in Southern Iran.
The Iranian Army’s statement added that the suicide drones targeted gathering positions of the American helicopters and forces at the al-Minhād Base that counts to be one of the important support and areal transport centers for the foreign forces.
On its behalf the Mehr news agency citing the statement of the Revolutionary Guards reported that its shut down an American MQ-9 type drone above the Strait of Hormuz.
The agency added that the Revolutionary Guards shut the drone down with an air defense missile, which led to its crash into the Gulf waters.
At Monday dawn the Revolutionary Guards in a complex operation using ballistic missiles and drones targeted the “King Ḥussayn” and the “al-Azraq” bases in Jordan, which was a response to the American attacks that had targeted Lārak Island in Southern Iran at Sunday night. That attack led to the martyrdom of two and a number of injuries.
Apart from the other cities and island in Southern Iran the island of Lārak has witnessed intense attacks targeting the vital installations, docks and maritime monitoring towers in a series of daily attacks launched by the American forces against Iran in July.
Lārak Island counts to be one of the most important islands along the Strait of Hormuz, as its is situated at the narrowest point at the strait and lays rights next to the actual maritime corridors that the ships are crossing. That makes its a monitoring and early warning position.

أعلنت العلاقات العامة للجيش الإيراني، اليوم الاثنين، في بيان لها بأنّ قواتها استهدفت قاعدة “المنهاد” في الإمارات بالطائرات المسيّرة الانتحارية، رداً على العدوان الأميركي الذي استهدف جزيرة لارك جنوبي إيران
وأضاف بيان الجيش الإيراني أنّ الطائرات الانتحارية استهدفت أماكن تمركز المروحيات وقوات الجيش الأميركي في قاعدة “المنهاد” التي تعدّ إحدى مراكز الدعم والنقل الجوي المهمة للقوات الأجنبية
بدورها، كشفت وكالة “مهر” للأنباء، نقلاً عن بيان عن حرس الثورة الإيراني أنّه أسقط طائرة مسيرة أميركية من طراز “أم كيو-9” فوق مضيق هرمز
وأضافت الوكالة أنّ حرس الثورة أسقط الطائرة باستخدام صواريخ دفاع جوي ما أدّى إلى تحطّمها في مياه الخليج
وفجر اليوم، استهدف حرس الثورة بعملية مركّبة بالصواريخ الباليستية والمسيّرات قاعدتي “الملك حسين” و”الأزرق” في الأردن، وذلك رداً على الهجمات الأميركية التي استهدفت جزيرة لارك جنوبي إيران، مساء أمس الأحد، والتي أدّت إلى ارتقاء شهيدين ووقوع جرحى
وشهدت جزيرة لارك، إلى جانب سائر الجزر والمدن الواقعة في جنوب إيران، اعتداءات مكثّفة استهدفت مرافق حيوية ومرافئ وأبراج مراقبة بحرية، خلال جولة اعتداءات يومية شنّتها القوات الأميركية على إيران في تموز/يوليو الماضي.
وتُعتبر جزيرة لارك أحد أهم الجزر المشرفة على مضيق هرمز، حيث تقع عند أضيق نقطة في المضيق وبمحاذاة الممرات الملاحية الفعلية التي تسلكها السفن، ما يجعلها نقطة مراقبة ورصد متقدّمة
