The Egyptian House of Representatives agrees to send troops of the Egyptian armed forces with combat duties abroad the borders of the country and to spread “forces to defend the national security on strategic Arab fronts”.
According to the announcement issued on Monday the Egyptian House of Representatives with the full consent of the representatives present agreed to send the troops of the Egyptian armed forces with fighting duties abroad the Egyptian border “to defend the Egyptian national security in the Arab strategic approach against the armed criminal militias and the foreign terrorist groups until the mission of the forces ends”.
It also agreed to spread “forces to defend national security on strategic Arab fronts”.
Based on the 152nd paragraph of the constitution and the 130th paragraph of the council’s inner list of rules speaker of the house ‘Alī ‘Abd al-‘Āl called a secret meeting of the house, where 510 representatives were present to “review whether to agree to send troops of the Egyptian armed forces abroad the Egyptian borders to defend the Egyptian national security in a strategic Arab approach against armed criminal militias and foreign terrorist groups until the mandate of the forces end”.
During this meeting the resolutions of the national defense council where presented, which under the leadership of President ‘Abd al-Fattāḥ as-Sīsī met yesterday, Sunday, and also the threats, which the state faces from a western direction and what that threat means for the Egyptian national security.
The House of Representatives confirmed “that the Egyptian nation all along its history was a nation supporting peace, but it would not accept aggression against it, or that its rights would be curbed. It is capable to use force to defend itself, its interests, its brothers, and its neighbors. Also, the armed forces and its leadership has constitutional and legal authorization to determine the time and place of the answer to these dangers and threats”.
The official spokesman of the Egyptian Presidency has already said some time ago that “the phone call between American President Donald Trump and Egyptian President ‘Abd al-Fattāḥ as-Sīsī looks over the recent developments of the Libyan matter, and the latter expressed the firm strategic position of Egypt about the Libyan matter”.
Then the Reuters news agency reported from the Egyptian presidency that as-Sīsī has agreed with Trump to a firm ceasefire in Libya and to prevent the escalation to launch the political negotiations and solution.

وافق مجلس النواب المصري بإجماع آراء الأعضاء الحاضرين على إرسال عناصر من القوات المسلحة المصرية في مهام قتالية خارج حدود الدولة المصرية، “للدفاع عن الأمن القومي المصري في الاتجاه الاستراتيجي العربي ضد أعمال الميلشيات الإجرامية المسلحة والعناصر الإرهابية الأجنبية إلى حين انتهاء مهمة القوات”، وفق بيان صدر عنه اليوم الإثنين
ووافق أيضاً على نشر “قوات للدفاع عن الأمن القومي على جبهات عربية استراتيجية
وعملاً بحكم المادة 152 من الدستور والمادة 130 من اللائحة الداخلية للمجلس، دعا علي عبد العال رئيس المجلس، أعضاء المجلس للانعقاد في جلسة سرية حضرها 510 من أعضاء المجلس، “للنظر في الموافقة على إرسال عناصر من القوات المسلحة المصرية في مهام قتالية خارج حدود الدولة المصرية، للدفاع عن الأمن القومي المصري في الاتجاه الاستراتيجي العربي ضد أعمال الميلشيات الإجرامية المسلحة والعناصر الإرهابية الأجنبية إلى حين انتهاء مهمة القوات
وتم استعراض خلال هذه الجلسة، مخرجات اجتماع مجلس الدفاع الوطني المنعقد صباح أمس الأحد برئاسة الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي والتهديدات التي تتعرض لها الدولة من الناحية الغربية، وما يمثله ذلك من تهديد للأمن القومي المصري
وأكد مجلس النواب على “أن الأمة المصرية على مر تاريخها أمة داعية للسلام لكنها لا تقبل التعدي عليها أو التفريط في حقوقها وهي قادرة بمنتهى القوة على الدفاع عن نفسها وعن مصالحها وعن أشقائها وجيرانها من أي خطر أو تهديد، وأن القوات المسلحة وقيادتها لديها الرخصة الدستورية والقانونية لتحديد زمان ومكان الرد على هذه الأخطار والتهديدات”
وكان المتحدث الرسمي باسم الرئاسة المصرية قد قال منذ قليل، إن “الاتصال بين الرئيسين الأميركي دونالد ترامب والمصري عبدالفتاح السيسي تناول آخر مستجدات القضية الليبية، حيث استعرض الأخير موقف مصر الاستراتيجي الثابت تجاه القضية الليبية
في حين نقلت وكالة رويترز عن الرئاسة المصرية إن السيسي وترامب اتفقا على تثبيت وقف إطلاق النار في ليبيا وعدم التصعيد تمهيداً للبدء في تفعيل الحوار والحلول السياسية
