President Qays Sa‘īd on Monday night met with civilian social activist Zakiyya Laṭaraš in Qafṣa province.
He said that by this he addresses all the Tunisian youth in Tunis, in Qafṣa, ar-Radīf, and Umm al-‘Arā’is, and that he is still sticking to his vow and will not step back from it.
He mentioned that Tunisia used to be the second [biggest] country to produce phosphate.
He said: “You made a historic work in the beginning of this period and in certain times when you called and raised the historic slogan: “The people want phosphate once against”.
“We met with a number of professionals in the railroads, who volunteered to improve the railroad, but after its repair it went into decay once again, and so went the phosphate with it”.
Sa‘īd believed that the protests are payed for with salary and that Qafṣa was wronged, adding: “J nether recent period you made efforts to open the Line 13, and the matters started to improve, so the citizens could benefit from it, not the thieves. Whoever wants to slip bracing himself in illusory immunity cannot slip from punishment. But they shall not slip at all and the money of the Tunisian people will return [will be re-confiscated].
I don’t wish to mention the name, but all knows the name, knows his brother and the Syrian company he put there to return the money of the people, which was embezzled. There can be no solidarity about the Tunisian livelihood”.
He pointed out that it is the Tunisian right to protest against the misery and poverty, but there are protests being payed for with money.

اجتمع رئيس الجمهورية قيس سعيد مساء اليوم الاثنين، بزكية لطرش الناشطة بالمجتمع المدني بولاية قفصة.
وقال انه يتوجه من خلالها الى كل الشباب التونسي في تونس وقفصة والرديف وأم العرائس وأنه لا يزال على العهد ولن يتراجع عن ذلك.
وذكر أن تونس كانت ثاني دولة مصدرة للفسفاط
وقال: “أنتم قمتم بعمل تاريخي في بداية هذه المدة، وفي وقت من الأوقات حين تداعيتم ورفعتم الشعار التاريخي الشعب يريد الفسفاط من جديد
والتقينا مع عدد من الفنيين في السكك الحديدية من المتقاعدين الذين تطوعوا لاصلاح السكك الحديدة لكن بعد اصلاحها عاد لافسادها حتى يبقى الفسفاط حكرا له”.
واعتبر سعيد أن الاحتجاجات مدفوعة الأجر وأن قفصة ظلموها، مضيفا: “قمتم في المدة الأخيرة بجهود لفتح الخط 13 وبدأت الأمور الى نصابها حتى يستفيد منه المواطنون لا اللصوص ومن يريد أن يتحصن بالحصانة المهومة للافلات من العقاب، لكن لن يفلت أبدا ولابدا أن يعيد أموال الشعب التونسي
لا أريد أن أذكر الاسم لكن الجميع يعلم الاسم ويعلم شقيقه والشركة السورية التي وضعها تعود أموال الشعب التي نهبها ولا مجال لأي تسامح حول قوت التونسي”.
وأشار الى أنه من حق التونسي الاحتجاج على البؤس والفقر لكن هناك احتجاجات يدفعون لها الأموال.
