An international report revealed the failure of the American air defense system.

A report on the Asia Times site on Thursday confirmed that the missile attack against the American military base at Irbil proved that the U.S. defense against the missile attacks is insufficient at mostly don’t work.
The report, which was translated by the “al-Ma‘lūma” Agency mentioned that: “The defense against the American military base at Irbil was done by the American Patriot type air defense system and by the C-RAM rapid-fire system protecting the Patriot batteries, and there is no any information about the activation of any of the two systems at the time, when the missiles fell on the base, while the United States and Iraq said that 14 missiles fell on the base and the airport”.
It added: “The American Department of Defense has already announced in December that it applied two Patriot batteries in Iraq. One at the ‘Ayn al-Asad base and the other at the Irbil military base, while it described them as very protective. Yet there was mention of any attempts to take down the incoming missiles”.
The report continued that: “The missile, which was used is a copy of the 107 caliber Katyusha missile and it seems that the area from which it was fired was outside the base by some 8 kilometers. The American air defense systems did not take down any missiles and there are no reports that the Patriot or the C-RAM systems fired”.
The report pointed out that “the Patriot system has a bad record against the greater caliber ballistic missiles, but it seems that it is cheated by cruise missiles and the drones. The Patriot system also did not pick up at all the cruise missiles and the unmanned drones, when the Saudi oil installations faced bombardment in September 2020”.

كشف تقرير اممي فشل منظومة الدفاع الجوي الامريكية
اكد تقرير لموقع آسيا تايمز، الخميس، ان الهجوم الصاروخي على القاعدة العسكرية الامريكية في اربيل اثبت أن دفاعات الولايات المتحدة ضد الهجمات الصاروخية غير كافية ، وفي الغالب لا تعمل
وذكر التقرير الذي ترجمته وكالة “المعلومة” ان ” الدفاع عن القاعدة العسكرية الامريكية في اربيل قد تم بواسطة نظام دفاع جوي أمريكي من طراز باتريوت ونظام مدفع نيران سريع C-RAM لحماية صواريخ باتريوت، ولاتوجد اي معلومات عن تفعيل ايا من النظامين عندما سقطت الصواريخ على القاعدة حيث قالت الولايات المتحدة والعراق ان 14 صاروخا سقطت على القاعدة والمطار
واضاف ان ” وزارة الدفاع الامريكية كانت قد اعلنت في نيسان الماضي انها نشرت بطاريتي باتريوت في العراق – واحدة في قاعدة عين الأسد الجوية والأخرى في قاعدة أربيل العسكرية، فيما وصفت انها محمية جيدا ، فيما لم يرد ذكر لأية محاولة لإسقاط الصواريخ القادمة
وتابع التقرير أن ” الصواريخ المستخدمة هي نسخة من صواريخ كاتيوشا عيار 107 ويبدو أن تلك المنطقة التي اطلقت منها كانت خارج القاعدة التي يبلغ طولها حوالي 8 كيلومترات ، ولم تسقط أنظمة الدفاع الجوي الأمريكية أي صواريخ ولم ترد تقارير عن إطلاق أنظمة باتريوت ولا أنظمة C-RAM
واشار التقرير الى ان ” نظام الدفاع الجوي باتريوت له سجل سيء ضد الصواريخ الباليستية الأكبر حجمًا ، لكن يبدو أنه يتم خداعه ايضا بصواريخ كروز وطائرات بدون طيار، حيث لم تلتقط منظومة باتريوت صواريخ كروز وطائرات بدون طيار مطلقًا عندما تعرضت المنشات النفطية السعودية للقصف في ايلول عام 2020
