The Russian President confirms to his Iranian colleague in Uzbekistan that Moscow works on making Tehran a full member of the Shanghai Organization and Ra’īsī confirms that the relations with Moscow have strategic importance.
Russian President Vladimir Putin confirms the readiness of his country “to do everything until Iran becomes a full partnership member in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization”.
On Thursday Russian President during his meeting with his Iranian colleague Ebrāhīm Ra’īsī says: “We take the hardest possible efforts to secure that Iran becomes a full partnership member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization”. Also adding: “We have supported our partners in this organization and only one final official step is left to indeed include Iran in this large and trusted international organization”.
Also, the Russian President pointed out that “the work on the new cooperation agreement between Russia and Iran which is in its final stage”.
The Iranian President Ebrāhīm Ra’īsī and Russian President Vladimir Putin have met for the first time since the beginning of the special Russian military operation in Ukraine on Thursday, where the two presidents took part in the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Samarkand in Uzbekistan.
On his behalf the Iranian President confirmed during his meeting with his Russian colleague that his country “will work on neutralizing the effects of the American sanctions against Russia and Iran”, pointing out that “the work is still in its final stage on a large now agreement between Russian and Iran that will reflect the cooperative relations between the two countries”.
Ra’īsī continued: “The relations between Tehran and Moscow have strategic importance”.
The trade exchange between Russia and Iran is 81% larger in 2021
The trade relations between the two sides Putin pointed out that “the Russian delegation will leave for Iran next week and will include the representatives of 80 major Russian companies”. Thus confirming that the level of trade exchange between Russia and Iran is 81% larger in the last year.
It should be pointed out that the last meeting between Putin and Ra’īsī was held on 19 January in Moscow, as on June 29 they held bilateral negotiations aside from the “Caspian Sea Summit” in Ashgabat, and after that, the two sides met on 19 July in Tehran, which Putin visited taking to take part in the “Astana Summit”.
Despite the Corona pandemic and the Western sanctions against the two countries the Russian-Iranian trade and economic relations developed dynamically.
Earlier on Thursday Iran joined the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The Iranian IRNA news agency reported that Iranian Foreign Minister Ḥosseyn Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān and the Secretary General of the organization Chang Ming on Wednesday night signed the document concerning full membership to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization aside from the organization’s summit in Samarkand in Uzbekistan.

الرئيس الروسي يؤكد لنظيره الإيراني من أوزبكستان، أن موسكو تعمل لتصبح طهران عضواً كاملاً في منظمة شنغهاي، ورئيسي يؤكد أن العلاقات بموسكو ذات أهمية استراتيجية
أعلن الرئيس الروسي، فلاديمير بوتين، استعداد بلاده “للقيام بلاده بكل شيء حتى تصبح إيران عضواً كامل العضوية في منظمة شنغهاي للتعاون
وقال الرئيس الروسي، اليوم الخميس، خلال اللقاء بنظيره الإيراني، إبراهيم رئيسي: “نحن نبذل قصارى جهدنا لضمان أن تصبح إيران عضواً كامل العضوية في منظمة شنغهاي للتعاون”، مضيفاً: “دعمنا شركاءنا في هذه المنظمة… يبقى الإجراء الرسمي الأخير، وتنضم إيران إلى هذه المنظمة الدولية الكبيرة والموثوقة بالفعل
هذا وأشار الرئيس الروسي إلى “العمل على اتفاقية تعاون جديدة بين روسيا وإيران، وأنّها في مراحلها الأخيرة
وكان الرئيسان الإيراني إبراهيم رئيسي، والروسي، فلاديمير بوتين، التقيا اليوم للمرة الأولى منذ بداية العملية العسكرية الروسية في أوكرانيا، حيث يحضر الرئيسان قمة منظمة شنغهاي للتعاون في سمرقند في أوزبكستان.
من جهته، أكد الرئيس الإيراني خلال لقائه نظيره الروسي أنّ بلاده “ستعمل على تحييد تأثير العقوبات الأميركية ضد روسيا وإيران”، لافتاً إلى أنّ “العمل لا زال في مراحله الأخيرة بشأن معاهدة كبرى جديدة بين روسيا وإيران، والتي ستمثل علاقة التعاون بين البلدين
وتابع رئيسي: “العلاقات بين طهران وموسكو ذات أهمية استراتيجية
حجم التجارة بين روسيا وإيران أكبر بنسبة 81% في 2021
وعن العلاقات التجارية بين الطرفين، لفت بوتين إلى أنّ “الوفد الروسي سيغادر إلى إيران الأسبوع المقبل، وسيضم ممثلين عن 80 شركة روسية كبيرة”، مؤكداً أنّ حجم التجارة بين روسيا وإيران أكبر بنسبة 81% من العام الماضي.
يشار إلى أن لقاءً سابقاً بين بوتين ورئيسي عقد، في 19 كانون الثاني/يناير الماضي، في موسكو. كما عقدا، في 29 حزيران/ يونيو الماضي، محادثة ثنائية على هامش “قمة بحر قزوين” في عشق أباد، وبعدها اجتمع الطرفان، في 19 تموز/يوليو الماضي، في طهران التي زارها بوتين للمشاركة في قمة “أستانة”.
وبالرغم من تفشي وباء كورونا والعقوبات الغربية على البلدين، تتطور العلاقات التجارية والاقتصادية الروسية- الإيرانية بشكل ديناميكي.
وفي وقت سابق اليوم، انضمت إيران إلى منظمة شنغهاي للتعاون، و أفادت وكالة إرنا” الإيرانية، بأن وزير الخارجية الإيراني، حسين أمير عبد اللهيان، والأمين العام للمنظمة، تشانغ مينغ، وقعا، الليلة الماضية، وثيقة بشأن عضوية إيران الكاملة في منظمة شنغهاي للتعاون، وذلك على هامش قمة المنظمة المنعقدة في سمرقند في أوزبكستان
