Russian President Vladimir Putin informs his Syrian colleague Baššār al-Asad about the content of the agreements, which were reached during the Russian-Turkish summit, and the Russian President reassures that the execution of the agreements will create stability in Idlib.
The Kremlin said that Russian President Vladimir Putin informed his Syrian counterpart Baššār al-Asad about the agreements, which were reached during the Russian-Turkish summit.
According to the Kremlin Putin in his talk with al-Asad confirmed that “the execution of the agreements of Russia and Turkey will create stability in Idlib”.
On his own part the Syrian President expresses his gratitude for the support of Putin in fighting the terrorist organizations and for the efforts taken to safeguard the sovereignty of Syria, appreciating highly “the Russian agreement with Turkey in the matter of Idlib”.
The Russian-Turkish summit took place on Thursday, yesterday, to study the latest developments in the Syrian Idlib and the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ended in a memorandum of understanding about Idlib.
The memorandum contains a ceasefire starting on the midnight of the signing day and the creation of a safe passage with 12 kilometers in depth all along the M4 highway.
It comes in the memorandum, which’s text was cited Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov: “we have agreed in the followings: first a cessation of all aggressive operations along the line of control in the de-escalation zone in Idlib effective from midnight 6 March. Secondly on the creation of two safe passages 6 kilometers to the north and 6 kilometers to the south from the M4 highway”.
From his own part the spokesman of the American State Department hoped that the agreement between Russia and Turkey will help to decrease the level of the crisis in the province. The Secretary-General of the U.N. also expressed his hope that signed agreements will lead up to an immediate and lasting cessation of the fighting operations.
On his own part the EU’s high representative for foreign affairs Joseph Borel said that the Russian-Turkish ceasefire agreement if a good thing and a precondition to give more European humanitarian aid to Idlib.

قال الكرملين إن الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، أطلع نظيره السوري بشار الأسد، على الاتفاقيات التي تم التوصل إليها خلال القمة الروسية التركية
ووفق الكرملين، فإن بوتين أكد في حديثه مع الأسد أن “تنفيذ اتفاقيات روسيا وتركيا سيحقق الاستقرار في إدلب”
بدروه أعرب الرئيس السوري، عن امتنانه لدعم بوتين في مكافحة الجماعات الإرهابية والجهود المبذولة لضمان سيادة سوريا، مقيّماً بشكل عالٍ “الاتفاق الروسي مع تركيا بشأن إدلب”
وعقب قمة روسية-تركية مشتركة جرت أمس الخميس، لبحث التطورات الأخيرة في إدلب السورية، خلُص اجتماع الرئيسين الروسي فلاديمير بوتين والتركي رجب طيب إردوغان، إلى مذكرة تفاهم حول إدلب.
وتضمنت المذكرة وقف إطلاق النار بدءاً من منتصف ليلة التوقيع، وإنشاء ممر آمن بطول 12 كيلومتراً على طول الطريق السريع M4
وجاء في الاتفاق الذي تلى نصه وزير الخارجية الروسي سيرغي لافروف: “لقد اتفقنا على ما يلي: أولاً وقف جميع الأعمال العدائية على امتداد خط التماس في منطقة خفض التصعيد في إدلب اعتباراً من منتصف ليلة 6 آذار/مارس، ثانياً إنشاء ممرين آمنين بطول 6 كيلومترات إلى الشمال و6 كيلومترات إلى الجنوب من الطريق السريع M4”
من جهته، أمل المتحدث باسم الخارجية الأميركية، أن يساعد الاتفاق بين روسيا وتركيا، في تخفيف حدّة الأزمة في المحافظة، كما أعرب الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة عن أمله بأن تفضي الاتفاقيات الموقّعة إلى وقف فوري ودائم للأعمال القتالية
بدوره، قال مسؤول السياسة الخارجية بالاتحاد الأوروبي جوزيف بوريل، إن اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار الروسي التركي أمر جيد وشرط مسبق لتقديم مزيد من المعونات الإنسانية الأوروبية لإدلب.
