The Turkish President reveals that the Russian “S-400” system, which his country received, will put into operation in next April. He also confirmed that his country “will always stay ready to respond to any expected breach or attack against its forces in Idlib”.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan today, Friday announced that his country completely received the Russian “S-400” defense system, and it will put it into operation in next April, pointing out that his country asked for “Patriot” system from Washington.
Erdoğan also confirmed that in June 2019, and said “we will transform the terrorist region in Syria to the safe and protected region, to where the Syrian refugees will return”, according to his words.
It was also revealed that the observation posts in Idlib in the northwest of Syria will stay as they are in light of the ceasefire agreement, which was signed with Moscow yesterday, Thursday. Though he stressed that his country “will always stay on high alert to respond to any expected breach or attack by the Syrian governmental forces in Idlib” according to his words.
The office of the Turkish Presidency reported the words of Erdoğan saying “the ceasefire agreement in Idlib protects the Turkish borders, states the basis of returning the region to its natural status and includes the safety of the forces and the civilians”.
He also pointed out that “it was within the capabilities of the United States to send military equipment to Idlib if the ceasefire agreement was not enacted”. Affirming that saying: “but we haven’t received support until now”.
All that comes after Putin and Erdoğan reached a joint document including a ceasefire agreement and the creation of a safe passage in Idlib in Northern Syria.
About the dwindling the Syrian refugees between the Turkish and the Greek borders the Turkish President sees that “the Western states are very hypocritical”, pointing out that they vowed 700 million euro to Greece immediately, but they did not perform that”.
The Turkish-Greek border saw great tension today morning, during which the Turkish forces fired teargas upon the Greek border patrol, which on its own part used coast guard batt ties in an attempt to disperse the refugees moving on the border, and to prevent their entry to Greece.
Erdoğan said that approximately 18 thousand refugees tried to penetrate the European borders, pointing out their numbers might have reached up to 25 thousand, and asked from Europe to “find a solution to the Syrian crisis if it wants to contain it”.

أعلن الرئيس التركي رجب طيب إردوغان اليوم الجمعة إن بلاده استلمت منظومة “أس-400” الروسية الدفاعية بالكامل، وستعمل في نيسان/ أبريل المقبل، مشيراً إلى أن بلاده طلبت من واشنطن منظومة “باتريوت
وكان إردوغان أكد في شهر حزيران/ يونيو 2019 ،وقال “سنحول مناطق الإرهاب في سوريا إلى مناطق آمنة ومحمية حتى يعود النازحون السوريون إليها”، بحسب تعبيره
وفي حين كشف أن مراكز المراقبة في إدلب شمال غربي سوريا ستحتفظ بوضعها الحالي، في ظل اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار، الذي وقعه مع موسكو أمس الخميس، إلا أنه شدد على أن بلاده “ستظل على أهبة الاستعداد دائماً للرد على الانتهاكات والهجمات المحتملة من القوات الحكومية السورية في إدلب”، وفق تعبيره
ونقلت الرئاسة التركية عن إردوغان قوله إن “اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في إدلب يحمي الحدود التركية، ويمهد الأسس لإعادة الأوضاع في المنطقة لطبيعتها ويضمن الأمن للقوات والمدنيين
وإذ أشار إلى أنه “كان بمقدور الولايات المتحدة أن ترسل معدات عسكرية إلى إدلب، إن لم يبرم اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار ، أكد قائلاً:”لكن لم نتلق دعماً حتى الآن
يأتي ذلك، بعد توصل بوتين وإردوغان إلى وثيقة مشتركة تتضمن الاتفاق على وقف إطلاق النار، وإنشاء ممر آمن في إدلب، شمال غربي سوريا
أما بالنسبة لتدفق اللاجئين السوريين بين الحدود التركية واليونانية، رأى الرئيس التركي أن “دول الغرب تنافق جداً”، مشيراً إلى أنها وعدت اليونان على الفور بتقديم 700 مليون يورو ولم تنفذ
وشهدت الحدود التركية اليونانية صباح اليوم توتراً إثر إطلاق القوات التركية الغاز المسيل للدموع باتجاه حرس الحدود اليوناني، الذي استخدم بدوره مدفع مياه في محاولة لتفريق تدفق اللاجئين المحتشدين على الحدود لمنعهم من الدخول إلى اليونان
وقال إردوغان إن حوالى 18 ألفاً من اللاجئين استطاعوا اجتياز الحدود باتجاه أوروبا، مشيراً إلى أنه قد يصل عددهم إلى 25 ألفاً، وطلب من أوروبا “بإيجاد حل للأزمة السورية إذا أرادت الحد من الهجرة إليها
