The Israeli Foreign Minister must strongly respond to the targeted attack upon the ship. The “Darida” website about the maritime security states that “the Israeli ship suffered two attacks on the Arab Sea and the nature of the second attack is unknown”.
The Israeli media talks about that the Israeli Security Minister Benny Gantz and Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi held consultations about the attack, which a ship suffered on the Omani Sea “and the two agreed to turn to the Foreign Minister with the aim to work against Iran on the political level.
According to the Israeli media “Foreign Minister Yair Lapid called upon the Americans and the British to respond strongly to the attack of the ship”.
At the same time the “Yediot Aharonot” portal reported on an Israeli source saying that “it will be hard for Israel to ignore the Iranian attack against the ship on in the Omani Gulf”.
The source claimed that “the understanding in Israel is that Iran attacked the ship owned by an Israeli businessman, Ely Ofer Martin. The first attack did not cause any damage, but the second attack – which happened hours later – inflicted damages upon the bridge of the ship on which the crew was present and that caused the death of two people”.
Previously today the maritime security “Darīda” website talked about the two deaths amongst the crew of the Israeli ship, which suffered an attack by “a drone” on the Arab Sea.
The portal pointed out that “the Israeli ship suffered two attacks on the Arab Sea and the nature of the second attack is unknown”.
The “Mearser Street” company operating the ship said that “the ship came under control by the crew after it was attacked on the Indian Ocean”, adding “the American navy patrolled the ship”.
On his behalf the security analyst at the “Haaretz” Yossy Malman said that “this is the fourth time in which an attack happened on an Israeli property”, thus pointing out that “Israel is one which started [this] when for two and a half years worked on damaging the Iranian ships”.
Malman added that “Israel is playing with fire”, basing this on that 90% of the Israeli goods are going through maritime routes”.
The Israeli media has already warned after the attack on the Iranian ship in April about the danger of maritime war against “Israel”. The Israeli “Channel 12” believed that “the maritime war with Iran resulted that Israeli put itself in a weaker position”.
A former Israeli general at the Israeli navy warned from continuing the maritime war with Iran confirming that “it is not within the interests of Israel”.
Former commander of the Israeli naval forces operation General Elizer Marom confirmed in an article with the “Maariv” newspaper the continuation of the field of maritime war, keeping in mind “the reliance of Israel on foreign maritime trade stretches to India and China, and that affects the Israeli economy negatively”.

وزير الخارجية الإسرائيلي للرد بشدة على استهداف السفينة. وتحدث موقع “درياد” للأمن البحري أن “السفينة الإسرائيلية تعرضت لهجومين في بحر العرب ولم تعرف طبيعة الهجوم الثاني”.
تحدثت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية عن أن وزير الأمن الإسرائيلي بيني غانتس ورئيس الأركان أفيف كوخافي أجريا مشاوراتٍ حول الهجوم الذي تعرضت له سفينة في بحر عمان، “واتفق الاثنان على التوجه إلى وزارة الخارجية بهدف العمل ضد إيران على المستوى السياسي”.
وبحسب وسائل الإعلام فإن “وزير الخارجية يئير لابيد دعا الأميركيين والبريطانيين للرد بشدة على استهداف السفينة”.
هذا ونقل موقع “يديعوت أحرونوت” عن مصدر إسرائيلي قوله إنه “سيكون من الصعب على إسرائيل تجاهل الهجوم الإيراني ضد السفينة في خليج عمان”.
المصدر زعم أن “الفهم في إسرائيل هو أن إيران هاجمت السفينة المملوكة لرجل الأعمال الإسرائيلي إيال عوفر مرتين.. لم يتسبب الهجوم الأول في أي أضرار، لكن الهجوم الثاني – الذي وقع بعد ساعات – ألحق أضراراً بجسر القيادة الذي كان الطاقم يقف عليه، مما أسفر عن مقتل شخصين”.
وفي وقت سابق من اليوم، تحدث موقع “درياد” للأمن البحري عن سقوط قتيلان على متن السفينة الإسرائيلية التي تعرضت لهجوم بـ”طائرة مسيرة” في بحر العرب.
ولفت الموقع إلى أن “السفينة الإسرائيلية تعرضت لهجومين في بحر العرب ولم تعرف طبيعة الهجوم الثاني”.
كما قالت الشركة المشغلة للسفينة “ميرسر ستريت” إن “السفينة أصبحت تحت سيطرة الطاقم بعد مهاجمتها في المحيط الهندي”، مضيفةً أن “البحرية الأميركية رافقت السفينة”.
من جهته، قال محلل الشؤون الأمنية في صحيفة “هآرتس” يوسي ملمان إنَّ “هذه هي المرة الرابعة التي يتم فيها استهدافٌ على صلة بإسرائيل”، مشيراً إلى أن “إسرائيل هي التي بدأت عندما عملت طوال عامين ونصف العام على تخريب سفن إيرانية”.
وأضاف ملمان أنَّ “إسرائيل تلعب بالنار”، معللاً ذلك بأنَّ “90% من البضائع الإسرائيلية تمرُّ عبر مساراتٍ بحرية”.
وكانت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية قد حذّرت، بعد مهاجمة سفينة إيرانية في نيسان/أبريل الماضي، من خطورة الحرب البحرية على “إسرائيل”. واعتبرت “القناة 12” الإسرائيليّة، أنّه “في الحرب البحريّة مع إيران، وضعت إسرائيل نفسها في مكان هي فيه أضعف”.
وحذر جنرال إسرائيلي سابق في سلاح البحرية الإسرائيلية من استمرار الحرب البحرية مع إيران، مؤكداً أنها “ليست في مصلحة إسرائيل”.
وأكد قائد سلاح البحرية الإسرائيلي الأسبق الجنرال إليعزر مروم، في مقابلة مع صحيفة “معاريف”، من الاستمرار في ساحة الحرب البحرية، نظراً “لاعتماد إسرائيل على تجارة خارجية بحرية تمتد من الهند إلى الصين، وهو ما يؤثر سلباً على الاقتصاد الإسرائيلي”.
