According to the pilot agreement the Emiratis will finance building a huge farm for solar panels not far from the borders with “Israel”, which will buy energy from Jordan to be produced in the region and this is supposed to supply a significant portion of the energy needs in Northern “Israel”.
On the other hand the Emirates will finance a water desalination plant to be set up in Northern “Israel”, and as it seems close to “Naraya”. The water gained by the plant will be used in the Kingdom of Jordan for which the Emirates pay for “Israel”.
On of the possibilities is to send water first into the Lake Tabaria and from there to Jordan, or directly into the Jordanian water network.
It is pointed out that the matter is about a preliminary memorandum and not yet a full agreement and the matters are not settled, because the final details are not clear yet. In the document presented by Godon Broomberg and Shelfi Kaplan for the National Security Studies Institute it has been explained that the reason for setting up the water desalination plant is “Israel” is the huge expenses for producing and transporting water from the Gulf of Aqaba.
On the other hand the two researchers explained that this is a more comfortable and cheaper arrangement to produce electricity for the Israeli economy.

صحيفة “إسرائيل هيوم” تكشف أنّ دولاً عربية ستوقّع قريباً اتفاقاً غير مسبوقٍ مع “إسرائيل” للتعاون في مجال الطاقة
كتب الصحافي آرييل كاهانا، في صحيفة “إسرائيل هيوم” الإسرائيلية، أنّ “إسرائيل” والأردن والإمارات والولايات المتحدة ستوقّع، الإثنين القادم، اتفاقاً غير مسبوق للتعاون في مجال الطاقة.

بحسب الاتفاق المبدئي، الإماراتيون سيموّلون بناء مزرعة ضخمة للألواح الشمسية في الأردن، غير بعيدة عن الحدود مع “إسرائيل”، التي ستشتري من الأردن الكهرباء التي ينتجها الموقع، الذي يُفترض أن يزوّد نسباً معدودة من استهلاك الكهرباء الشامل في “إسرائيل”.
في المقابل، الإماراتيون سيموّلون بناء معملٍ لتحلية المياه يُقام في شمال “إسرائيل”، على ما يبدو قرب “نهاريا”. والمياه الناتجة عن المعمل تستخدمها المملكة الأردنية مقابل الدفع لـ”إسرائيل” والإمارات.
وستكون إحدى الإمكانيات هي ضخ المياه إلى بحيرة طبريا أولاً، ومن هناك إلى الأردن أو مباشرةً إلى شبكة مياه المملكة.
يُشار إلى أنّ الأمر يتعلق بمذكرة أوّلية وليس اتفاقاً كاملاً بعد، من بين جملة أمور لأنّ التفاصيل النهائية ليست واضحة بعد. في الوثيقة التي أعدّها، غدعون برومبرغ، وشلفي كابلان،لصالح معهد أبحاث الأمن القومي، أوضح أنّ سبب إقامة مشروع تحلية المياه في “إسرائيل” هو الكلفة الكبيرة لإنتاج ونقل المياه في خليج العقبة.
