Former Turkish Prime Minster ‘Ahmet Davutoğlu’ reveled: Turkey indeed laid out a plan in 2014 to support the armed men of the so-called “Free [Syrian] Army” to occupy the two provinces of Aleppo and ar-Raqqa in Northern Syria

In an interview with the local “Haber Türk” channel mentioned that, according to his words: “Turkey in 2014 planes to support the Free [Syrian] Army to occupy the two provinces of ar-Raqqa and Aleppo, when it considered the threat by the “Kurdistani Workers Party” organization and its affiliates and the likelihood that a “Kurdistan” state would be set up from Iraq to the Iskenderun”.
According to the former Turkish official “A number of Turkish officers opposed the plan, which led to stepping back from it. Later it became clear that they were the leaders of the failed coup attempt and work for the organization (of Gülen)”.
Davutoğlu pointed out that “after the outbreak of the so-called Arab Spring revolutions the Turkish government and foreign ministry draw up a security plan to protect Turkey from the changes along its southern borders”, explaining that this plan was communicated to the Army Chief of Staff and the director of the intelligence. He said: “We draw a line on our southern border starting from as-Sulaymāniyya (Northern Iraq) to the south of Aleppo and north of Hims, arriving to Latakia and Tartous”.
Davutoğlu explained: “but when you have that amount of people from the Gülen organization in the (Turkish state and army) system, and in the Army Staff, what could have I done as a Prime Minister?”.

وذكر “أوغلو” خلال حديثه لقناة “خبر ترك” المحلية، “أن تركيا خططت في عام 2014 لدعم الجيش الحر لاحتلال محافظتي الرقة وحلب، وذلك عندما أدركت خطر تنظيم “حزب العمال الكردستاني” وأذرعه، واحتمالية إنشاء دولة “كردستان” من العراق وحتى إسكندرون” بحسب وصفه
ووفقاً للمسؤول التركي السابق “فإن عدداً من الضباط الأتراك عارضوا الخطة؛ ما أدى للتراجع عنها، وقد تبين لاحقاً أنهم هم قادة الانقلاب الفاشل، ويعملون في منظمة (غولن
ولفت “داود أوغلو” إلى أنه، “عقب انـطلاق ما سيمى ثورات الربيع العربي قامت الخارجية والحكومة التركية برسم خط أمـني لحماية تركيا من التغيرات على حدودها الجنوبية، موضحاً أن هذا الخط أبلغ به رئيس أركان الجـيش والاستخبارات، وقال: “رسمنا خطا على حدودنا الجنوبية، يبدأ من السليمانية (في شمال العراق)، ويمر من جنوب حلب وشمال حمص ويصل حتى اللاذقية وطرطوس
