Foreign Ministers of Iran and Turkey confirm in a joint press conference the strengthening of trade and economic relations between their two countries, and the Turkish Foreign Minister says “whoever left the nuclear agreement must return to it”.
Iranian Foreign Minister Ḥosseyn Amīr-‘Abdollahiyān in a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavušoğlu today, on Monday in Tehran confirmed that “the relations of Iran and Turkey are historical”, saying: “We work on strengthening the relations between the two countries”.
Amīr-‘Abdollahiyān explained that he discussed with his Turkish colleague the strengthening of trade and economic relations and how to make the trade transportation and the border and consular cooperation easier between the two countries, underlining that “there are no any complications to strengthen the relations between the two countries”.

Also he revealed that what affected the relations between the two countries in the last two years was the Corona pandemic. Amīr-‘Abdollahiyān pointed out that “even with that Iran was able to sustain and strengthen its trade exchange with Turkey”. Thus pointing out that “Tehran and Ankara are interested in nature conservation”.
Amīr-‘Abdollahiyān announced “the agreement on engaging in diplomatic negotiations to reach a long term roadmap for our bilateral relations”, hoping to “sing the document during the upcoming visit by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Tehran”.
The Iranian foreign minister hoped that “the ongoing war in Yemen stops and the blockade ends the soonest possible”, thus pointing out that “the points of views that of Tehran and Ankara are very similar about the developments in the region”.
Also Amīr-‘Abdollahiyān condemned the “terrorist attack Iraqi Prime Minister Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī”, hoping that “the new parliament and the new government shall be formed swiftly [in Iraq]”.
As for the Lebanese situation, Amīr-‘Abdollahiyān expressed that “the concern” of his country, not withstanding “the behavior of certain Arab embassies in Lebanon”. This came after the statements of Information Minister George al-Qurdāḥī.
Çavušoğlu: The sanctions imposed on Iran are “sinful” and there must be a return to the nuclear deal
On his behalf the Turkish Foreign Minister confirmed that “the sanctions imposed on Iran are sinful”. Thus pointing out that “whoever walked out of the nuclear deal [referring to America – Amaraia] must return to it”.
Çavušoğlu also confirmed that “Iran and Turkey are strengthening their economic relations, especially their trade exchange”.

وزيرا خارجية إيران وتركيا يؤكدان في مؤتمر صحافي مشترك تعزيز علاقات بلديهما الاقتصادية والتجارية، ووزير الخارجية التركي يقول إنه “على الذين خرجوا من الاتفاق النووي العودة إليه
أكّد وزير الخارجية الإيراني حسين أمير عبد اللهيان في مؤتمر صحافي مشترك مع نظيره التركي مولود جاويش أوغلو في طهران اليوم الإثنين، أنّ “علاقات إيران وتركيا علاقات تاريخية”، قائلاً: “نحن نعمل على تعزيز العلاقات بين البلدين
وأوضح أمير عبد اللهيان أنه ناقش مع نظيره التركي تعزيز العلاقات التجارية والاقتصادية، وتسهيل النقل التجاري والتعاون الحدودي والقنصلي بين البلدين، مشدداً على أنه “ليس هناك أي عوائق لتعزيز العلاقات بين البلدين
وفيما كشف أنّ ما أثّر على العلاقات بين البلدين في السنتين الماضيتين كان جائحة كورونا، أشار أمير عبد اللهيان إلى أنّ “إيران تمكنت مع ذلك من حفظ وتعزيز التبادل التجاري مع تركيا”، لافتاً إلى أنّ “طهران وأنقرة مهتمتين بالحفاظ على البيئة
وأعلن أمير عبد اللهيان عن “الاتفاق في الدخول بمباحثات دبلوماسية للتوصل إلى خارطة طريق طويلة الأمد، لعلاقاتنا الثنائية”، آملاً “توقيع الوثيقة خلال الزيارة القادمة للرئيس التركي رجب طيب إردوغان إلى طهران”.
وزير الخارجية الإيراني أمل أن “تتوقف الحرب الدامية في اليمن وينتهي الحصار في أسرع وقت ممكن”، مشيراً إلى أن “وجهات نظر طهران وأنقرة قريبة جداً حيال تطورات الأوضاع في المنطقة
كذلك ندد أمير عبد اللهيان “بالاعتداء الإرهابي الذي تعرض له رئيس الوزراء العراقي مصطفى الكاظمي”، آملاً أن “يتشكل البرلمان الجديد، والحكومة الجديدة سريعاً
وفيما يتعلق بالشأن اللبناني، أعرب أمير عبد اللهيان عن “قلق” بلاده، ولا سيما بسبب “سلوك بعض السفارات العربية في لبنان”، وذلك عقب تصريح وزير الإعلام جورج قرداحي

ومن جهته، أكّد وزير الخارجية التركي أنّ “العقوبات المفروضة على إيران ظالمة”، مشيراً إلى أنه “على الذين خرجوا من الاتفاق النووي العودة إليه
