Irani Foreign Minister Ḥosseyn Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān in a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman Badr ibn Ḥamad al-Būsa‘īdī expressed his appreciation for “the constructive role of Oman” in the ceas process in Yemen.
Irani Foreign Minister Ḥosseyn Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman Badr ibn Ḥamad al-Būsa‘īdī about some mutually important bilateral, regional and international matters, including the ceasefire announcement in Yemen and the Vienna talks.
Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān expressed his hope to prolong the ceasefire in Yemen in a permanent basis, pointing out his appreciation for “the constructive role of Oman” in this matter.
Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān added: “what is important now is to fully lift the blockade against Yemen, while at the same time continue the ceasefire. It is also quite important at the present time to send humanitarian aid to the Yemeni people”.
On his own behalf, the Foreign Minister of Oman welcomed the ceasefire in Yemen and sent his thanks to Iran “for its role and efforts in this matter”, thus expressing his hope that this will lead up to “providing the necessary basis for negotiations between all Yemeni sides and reopen the borders of the country”.
It should be remembered that the ceasefire between the Saudi Coalition and the government of Sana’a to stop all attacking military operations went into effect on Saturday at 7 p.m. local and Jerusalem time.
As for the Vienna talks the Irani Foreign Minister criticized the United States for reimposing sanctions against some Iranian companies and individuals and pointed out that his country “is ready to a good and sustainable agreement, but the American side via some of its attempts is directly responsible for prolonging the negotiations until now”.
Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān and his Omani colleague agreed to continue the ongoing talks about the matters suggested in the two countries’ work schedules.

وزير الخارجية الإيراني حسين أمير عبد اللهيان يعرب في اتصال هاتفي مع وزير خارجية سلطنة عمان، بدر بن حمد البوسعيدي، عن تقديره لـ”دور عُمان البنّاء” في عملية وقف إطلاق النار في اليمن.
أجرى وزير الخارجية الإيراني حسين أمير عبد اللهيان مباحثات هاتفية مع وزير خارجية سلطنة عمان بدر بن حمد البوسعيدي، بشأن بعض القضايا الثنائية والإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، بما في ذلك إقرار وقف إطلاق النار في اليمن ومفاوضات فيينا.
وأعرب أمير عبد اللهيان عن أمله في استمرار وقف إطلاق النار في اليمن بشكلٍ دائم، لافتاً إلى تقديره لـ “دور عمّان البنّاء” في هذا الصدد.
وأضاف أمير عبد اللهيان: “المهم الآن الرفع الكامل للحصار عن اليمن بالتوازي مع استمرار وقف إطلاق النار، كذلك من المهم للغاية في الوقت الراهن إرسال مساعدات إنسانية إلى الشعب اليمني”.
من جهته، رحّب وزير خارجية عُمان بوقف إطلاق النار في اليمن، وتوجّه بالشكر لإيران على “دورها وجهودها في هذا الشأن”، معرباً عن أمله في أن يؤدي هذا الأمر إلى “توفير الأرضية اللازمة للمحادثات بين الأطراف اليمنيين كافة، وإعادة فتح حدود هذا البلد”.
يُذكر أنّ الهدنة بين التحالف السعودي وحكومة صنعاء لإيقاف كل العمليات العسكرية الهجومية دخلت حيّزَ التنفيذ عند الساعة الـ7 من مساء أمس السبت، بالتوقيت المحلي وتوقيت القدس الشريف.
وبشأن مفاوضات فيينا، انتقد وزير الخارجية الإيراني إعادة فرض الولايات المتحدة عقوبات على بعض الشركات والأفراد الإيرانيين، وأشار إلى أنّ بلاده “مستعدة لاتفاق جيد ومستدام، لكن الجانب الأميركي، من خلال بعض الأطماع، كان مسؤولاً بشكل مباشر عن إطالة أمد المفاوضات حتى الآن”.
واتفق أمير عبد اللهيان ونظيره العُماني على مواصلة المشاورات الجارية بشأن القضايا المطروحة على جدول أعمال البلدين
