The American Air Force announces the arrival of American “F-22” fighters in response to the Emirati request in the context of “confronting what the Yemeni Armed Forces launched”.
American “F-22” type fighters arrived on Saturday in the Emirates, which is after the Emirati request to the United States of America to “help”, following the attacks launched by the Yemeni Armed Forces with drones in response to the participation of the Emirates in the Saudi Coalition’s war against Yemen.
The American Air Force said that “Raptor planes arrived in the aẓ-Ẓafra airbase in the United Arab Emirates today as part of the many aspects of the American support, after a series of attacks the whole January. The American and the Emirati Armed Forces centered at the hosting infrastructure threatened”.
Last Sunday General Kenneth McKenzy, Commander of the Central Command visited the Emirates. The official Emirati news agency citing McKenzy reported that “the United States is working together with the Emirates to find solutions to confront the drone attacks before they are launched”.
The Commander of the American Central Command said that “the Yemeni hits against the Emirates represent a fundamental change”. He announces that “the United States will send a batch of F-22 planes”.
He continued: “We have transported a destroyer to demolish the missiles aimed there, which has ballistic missile defense capabilities. There will be drills on Emirati waters and there is work on cooperation with the Emirati air defenses to protect their country”.
On 17 January this year the American National Security Advisor Jack Sullivan condemned the Yemeni airstrikes against the Emirates and said “we will cooperate with the Emiratis and our international partners to account the al-Ḥūtīs, who have announced their responsibility for this attack”.
He added that “our commitment for the security of the Emirates is unshaken. We will stand on the side of our Emirati partners to confront all threats, their lands face”.
The last month witnessed 4 attacks against the Emirates. The Yemeni Armed Forces announced their responsibility for 3 of them, the last one at the end of the month was the Third Yemeni Hurricane. While the Iraqi “True Vow Battalions” group acclaimed the fourth operation.

القوات الجوية الأميركية تعلن وصول طائرات مقاتلة أميركية من طراز “F-22″، استجابة لطلب إماراتي، في إطار “مواجهة التي تشنّها القوات المسلحة اليمنية
وصلت طائراتٌ مقاتلةٌ أميركيةٌ، من طراز “F-22″، إلى الإمارات يوم السبت، وذلك بعد الطلب الإماراتي من الولايات المتحدة بـ”المساعدة”، في أعقاب الهجمات التي شنّتها القوات المسلحة اليمنية بطائرات مسيّرة، ردّاً على مشاركة الإمارات في التحالف السعودي في حربه على اليمن.
وقالت القوات الجوية الأميركية إنَّ “طائرات رابتور وصلت إلى قاعدة الظفرة الجوية، في الإمارات العربية المتحدة، اليوم، كجزءٍ من مظاهرة متعددة الأوجه للدعم الأميركي، بعد سلسلةٍ من الهجمات طوال شهر كانون الثاني/يناير، هددت القوات المسلحة الأميركية والإماراتية المتمركزة في المنشأة المضيفة”.
ويوم الأحد الماضي، زار الجنرال كينيث ماكنزي، رئيس القيادة المركزية الأميركية، الإمارات. وأفادت وكالة الأنباء الإماراتية الرسمية، نقلاً عن ماكنزي، أنَّ “الولايات المتحدة تعمل مع الإمارات لإيجاد حلولٍ لمكافحة هجمات الطائرات بدون طيار قبل إطلاقها”.
وقال رئيس القيادة المركزية الأميركية إنَّ “الضربات اليمنية للإمارات تمثّل تغييراً جذرياً“، وأعلن أنَّ “الولايات المتحدة سترسل سرباً من طائرات F-22 “.
وتابع: “لقد أحضرنا مدمرةً في مدمرةٍ صاروخيةٍ موجّهةٍ، لديها قدراتُ دفاعٍ صاروخيٍّ باليستيٍّ. وستقوم بدورياتٍ في مياه الإمارات، وتعمل عن كثب مع المدافعين الجويين الإماراتيين لحماية بلادهم”.
وفي 17 كانون الثاني/يناير الماضي، أدان مستشار الأمن القوم الأميركي، جيك سوليفان، الهجمات الجوية اليمنية على الإمارات، وقال “سنتعاون مع الإماراتيين وشركائنا الدوليين لمحاسبة الحوثيين، الذين أعلنوا مسؤوليتهم عن هذا الهجوم”.
وأضاف أن “التزامنا أمن دولة الإمارات لا يتزعزع، ونحن نقف إلى جانب شركائنا الإماراتيين في مواجهة جميع التهديدات التي تتعرض لها أراضيهم”.
وشهد الشهر الماضي 4 هجماتٍ على الإمارات، أعلنت القوات المسلحة اليمنية مسؤوليتها عن 3 منها، آخرها نهاية الشهر وهي عملية إعصار اليمن الثالثة، فيما وتبنّت جماعة “ألوية الوعد الصادق” العراقية العملية الرابعة
