The Southern Transitional Council supported by the Emirates announces it took the Commander of the 115th Battalion within President Hādī’s forces prisoner during clashes in Zunğubār, capital of Abyan Province.
Sālim al-‘Awaqlī, member of the Emirati supported Transitional Council’s Presidential Organization that the 115th Infantry Division with its leadership and its heavy and light weapons are is in the hands of the Southern forces.
Along with this the forces of the Southern Transitional Council also took the commander of the 115th Infantry Division of President ‘Abd Rabbihi Manṣūr Hādī’s forces, Major-General Sayf al-Qufayš prisoner during clashes in the east of Zunğubār, capital of Abyan Province.
It was also brought to attention that Major-General al-Qufayš was taken prisoner with a number of his forces in the Qarn al-Kalāsī district in the east of Zunğubār.
Two days before battles broke loose between the forces of Hādī and those of the Transitional Council in the south of Yemen, in which some 30 troops were injured within Hādī’s and the Transitional Council’s forces in a result of the fierce clashes between the two in the east of Abyan Province in the south of the country.
Al-‘Awaqlī pointed out that their forces managed to destroy weapon supplies belonging to the forces of Hādī during the clashes with them.
Yemeni President ‘Abd Rabbihi Manṣūr Hādī called to reinforce the military awareness in Ḥaḍramawt Province in the southeast of the country.
In a telephone conversation with the governor of Ḥaḍramawt belonging to Hādī’s government, Farağ al-Baḥasīnī the Yemeni President said that “the military awareness in Ḥaḍramawt has to be reinforced so to root out the radicalism, the terrorism and any foreign acts against the state and its institutions”.

المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي المدعوم إماراتياً يعلن أنه أسر قائد اللواء 115 في قوات الرئيس هادي خلال مواجهات في زنجبار عاصمة محافظة أبين
أعلن عضو هيئة رئاسة المجلس الانتقالي المدعوم إمارتياً سالم العولقي أن اللواء 115 مشاه بقيادته وأسلحته الثقيلة والمتوسطة والخفيفة في يد القوات الجنوبية
هذا وأسرت قوات المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي قائد اللواء 115 في قوات الرئيس عبد ربه منصور هادي العميد سيف القفيش، وذلك خلال المواجهات شرق زُنْجُبار عاصمة محافظة أبين
كما أشارت إلى أن العميد القفيش أسر مع مجموعة من جنوده في منطقة قرن الكلاسي شرق زُنْجُبار
وقبل يومين، احتدمت المعارك بين قوّات هادي والمجلس الانتقالي جنوب اليمن، حيث قتل وجرح نحو 30 عنصراً من قوات هادي وقوات المجلس الانتقالي، نتيجة استمرار المواجهات العنيفة بينهما شرقي محافظة أبين جنوب البلاد
وأشار العولقي، إلى أنّ قواتهم تمكنت من تدمير عتاد عسكريّ تابع لقوات هادي خلال المواجهات معهم
ودعا الرئيس اليمني عبد ربه منصور هادي إلى تعزيز اليقظة العسكرية في محافظة حضرموت جنوب شرق البلاد
وفي اتصال هاتفي مع محافظ حضرموت في حكومة هادي، فرج البحسيني، قال الرئيس اليمني إنه “يجب تعزيز اليقظة العسكرية في حضرموت لقطع دابر التطرف والإرهاب وأي أعمال خارجة عن الدولة ومؤسساتها
