Official spokesman of the “Supporting the Legality Coalition” in Yemen Major General Turkī al-Mālikī announces the Royal Saudi Navy continuing its deployment in the Arab Sea “to carry out inspection operations and to combat smuggling”.

In a post on X on Friday official spokesman of the “Supporting the Legality Coalition” in Yemen Major General Turkī al-Mālikī said that “the forces of the Royal Saudi Navy continued its deployment in the Red Sea to carry out inspection operations and to combat the smuggling”.
Al-Mālikī had announced earlier that “the military steps contrary to the de-escalation efforts shall be dealt with”, thus remarking to the latest developments in Southern Yemen.
It should be pointed out that the official Saudi television had announced “the Supporting the Legality Coalition” ending its strategic military partnership with the Emirates in Yemen, even before the end of last year.
This came while the Transitional Council in Southern Yemen – which is supported by the Emirates – on 25 December 2025 continued to send its forces to Ḥadramawt, the biggest southern province, which is the richest in oil resources.
This matter intensified the Saudi-Emirati division in the country, which pushed Riyadh to take an unprecedented step, when it bombarded Emirati ships at the port of al-Mukallā, which were shipping equipment to the Transitional Council. This was also accompanied by open threats by Saudi Arabia against the Emirates that it must pull out its forces from Yemen and must stop any interference in its matters.

قال المتحدث الرسمي باسم قوات “تحالف دعم الشرعية” في اليمن، اللواء الركن تركي. المالكي في تغريدةٍ على منصّة “إكس”، اليوم الجمعة، إنّ “القوات البحرية الملكية السعودية أكملت انتشارها في. بحر العرب للقيام بعمليات التفتيش ومكافحة التهريب
وكان المالكي قد أعلن في وقتٍ سابق، أنه “سيتم التعامل مع التحركات العسكرية. المخالفة لجهود خفض التصعيد”، وذلك تعليقاً على التطورات الأخيرة في جنوب اليمن.
ويشار إلى أنّ التلفزيون الرسمي السعودي كان قد أعلن إنهاء “تحالف دعم. الشرعية” للشراكة العسكرية الاستراتيجية مع الإمارات في اليمن، وذلك قبل نهاية العام الماضي
يأتي هذا بعدما أقدم المجلس الانتقالي في جنوب اليمن -المدعوم من الإمارات – في. كانون الأول/ ديسمبر 2025، على إرسال قواته إلى حضرموت، أكبر محافظات الجنوب وأكثرها غنى بالموارد النفطية.
هذا الأمر صعّد الخلاف السعودي-الإماراتي في البلاد، ما دفع بالرياض إلى خطوة. غير مسبوقة حين قامت بقصف سفن إماراتية في ميناء المكلا كانت تنقل عتاداً إلى المجلس الانتقالي، وقد ترافق ذلك مع تهديدات. سعودية صريحة للإمارات بضرورة سحب قواتها من اليمن ووقف أي تدخل في شؤونه
