The Saudi Coalition reveals intelligence informations about which way Yemeni “President of the Southern Transitional Council” Aydrūs az-Zubaydī fled from Aden.

Official spokesman of the Saudi Coalition Forces Turkī al-Mālikī revealed intelligence informations suggesting that President of the Yemeni “Southern Transitional Council” ‘Ayrdūs az-Zubaydī and others fled from the port of Aden to “Somaliland region”, then their plane landed in the Somali capital Mogadishu before leaving towards the Rural Military Airport at Abū Zabī under the supervision of Emirati officers. This came one day after the Coalition announced az-Zubaydī fleeing towards an unknown direction.
Al-Mālikī explained that the informations suggest that az-Zubaydī and others fled at night via the vessel BAMEDHAF that had left the port of Aden towards “Somaliland region” after midnight on 7 January, pointing out that the vessel turned off its transponder and reached the port of Berbera at Wednesday noon.
According to his statements during that time az-Zubaydī was in contact with Commander of the Emirati Joint Operations Major General Maṣlaḥ al-Aḥbābī who arranged a plane for him to Abū Zabī, pointing out that the “Ilyushin” type plane transporting az-Zubaydī and those with him was under the control of Emirati officers and departed from the airport of Mogadishu to Abū Zabī. He added that this type of planes are regularly used in conflict zones on journeys to states like Libya, Ethiopia, or Somalia.
Al-Mālikī added that by checking the registry of the vessel it identified that it is under the flag of “St. Kitts and Nevis” and that is the same flag under which the vessel “Green Land” was registered, which according to a previous statement of the Saudi Forces Command transported combat vehicles and weapons to the port of al-Mukallā coming from the port of al-Fuğayra.
The Coalition Forces confirmed that the informations about the fate of some people are still analyzed, who had been identified as last meeting ‘Aydrūs az-Zubaydī before he fled from Aden. Amongst these were former governor of Aden Aḥmad Ḥāmid Lamlas and Commander of the Security Belt Forces in Aden Muḥsin al-Wālī, both of whom all contacts have been lost.
On Wednesday the Yemeni “Presidential Command Council” Rašād al-‘Ulaymī issued a decree to cease the membership of ‘Aydrūs az-Zubaydī in the council and decreed to refer him to the General Prosecutor for investigations charged with “grand treason”.

وأوضح المالكي. أن المعلومات أفادت بأن الزبيدي وآخرين هربوا ليلاً عبر الواسطة البحرية (BAMEDHAF)، التي انطلقت من ميناء عدن باتجاه “إقليم أرض. الصومال” بعد منتصف الليل يوم 7 كانون الثاني/يناير، مشيراً إلى أن الواسطة قامت بإغلاق. نظام التعريف ووصلت إلى ميناء بربرة ظهر الأربعاء.
