An official in the Finance Ministry said that the Pakistani Central Bank is indeed in negotiations with the Chinese trade banks to help to reduce the pressure by paying the last $1 billion next month.
It is interesting that there are sharp differences between the Emirates and Saudi Arabia because the latter took steps to reconcile with Qatar and to get closer to it via Kuwaiti and Emirati mediations. ويرى مراقبون أنّ حكام الإمارات يواصلون غدرهم بالسعودية حليفتهم الأولى، محاولين سحب البساط من تحت أقدام الرياض وأخذ مكانها الريادي في العالمين الإسلامي والعربي عبر زرع بذور الفتنة بين السعودية ومحيطها الإسلامي والعربي وحملها على اتخاذ مواقف معادية لمحيطها، بحسب قولهم
واستقبل محمد بن راشد وزير خارجية باكستان، والذي حمل لقيادة الإمارات رسالة من رئيس وزراء باكستان عمران خان
وحسب وسائل إعلام إماراتية، فإن الجانبين بحثا سبل تعزيز وتفعيل العلاقات الثنائية على مختلف الصعد
من جهته، أشاد الوزير الباكستاني، بالإجراءات الوقائية التي تطبقها الإمارات للحد من انتشار وباء كورونا، لافتاً إلى أن ذلك ساهم بشكل كبير في التخفيف من آثار الجائحة السلبية في الصحة العامة والاقتصاد والسياحة وحركة المواصلات
وكانت السعودية أقرضت باكستان 3 مليارات دولار، وقدمت لها تسهيلا ائتمانيا لشراء النفط بقيمة 3.2 مليارات دولار أواخر 2018
وبعد أن طلبت إسلام آباد دعم الرياض بشأن انتهاكات هندية لحقوق الإنسان في إقليم كشمير المتنازع عليه، ضغطت السعودية على باكستان لرد القرض
وقال مسؤول بوزارة المالية إن البنك المركزي الباكستاني يجري بالفعل محادثات مع بنوك تجارية صينية، لمساعدتها على تخفيف ضغوط دفع مليار دولار أخرى إلى الرياض الشهر القادم
الجدير ذكره، أن خلافات حادة بين الإمارات والسعودية بسبب مضي الأخيرة قدماً نحو المصالحة مع قطر والتقارب منها بالوساطة الكويتية والإماراتية، الأمر الذي ترفضه أبوظبي جملة وتفصيلاً وتؤكد أن الحل بيدها فيما يتعلق بالأزمة الخليجية
