The Hormuz and the de-escalation are on the table of negotiations
On his behalf official spokesman of the Qatari Foreign Ministry Māğid al-Anṣārī confirmed that the negotiations of the Prime Minister in Tehran will address the freedom of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the need to restore it to how it was before 28 February, in addition to discussing the ways to de-escalate and the calm the conditions down to make it suitable for the dialogue.

Official spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmā‘īl Baqā’ī had stated on Wednesday that the visit by [Muḥammad] Āl Tānī comes in the frame of ongoing discussions between the two countries to expand the bilateral ties and to strengthen the peace and security in the region.
Esmā‘īl Baqā’ī explained that the Qatari Prime Minister during his meetings with Iranian officials will continue the efforts and the initiatives for mediation which has been taken by Qatar, in addition to addressing the regional developments that are witnessed in the area.
On addition to Pakistan being the official mediator Qatar plays a role aim the mediation between Tehran and Washington. The Qatari moves come in parallel with the advanced negotiations between Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman about the maritime naval movement in the Strait of Hormuz.

من جهته، أكد المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية القطرية، ماجد الأنصاري، أن مباحثات رئيس الوزراء في طهران ستتناول حرية الملاحة في مضيق هرمز وضرورة عودتها إلى ما كانت عليه قبل 28 شباط/فبراير، إضافة إلى بحث سبل خفض التصعيد وتهيئة الظروف الملائمة للحوار

وأفاد المتحدّث باسم وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية، إسماعيل بقائي، أمس، أنّ زيارة آل ثاني، المرتقبة، تأتي في إطار المشاورات المستمرة بين البلدين لتوسيع العلاقات الثنائية وتعزيز السلام والأمن في المنطقة.
وأوضح إسماعيل بقائي أنّ رئيس الوزراء القطري سيبحث خلال لقاءاته مع المسؤولين الإيرانيين مواصلة الجهود ومبادرات الوساطة التي تبذلها قطر، إضافةً إلى مناقشة التطوّرات الأخرى التي تشهدها المنطقة.
