A number of parties have expressed their complete refusal “to any Turkish activity on Tunisian soil” to support the so-called militias and terrorists, or to export mercenaries to brotherly Libya. That being a warning about “foolish continuation of a shady path the Tunisian authorities take in all things connected to the Turkish activities in the region”. These parties, being the Popular Movement (at-Tayyār aš-Ša‘bī), the Labor Party (Ḥizb al-‘Ummāl), the Socialist Party (al-Ḥizb al-Ištirākiyy), the Ba‘at Party, the Tunisia Ahead Movement (Ḥarakat Tūnis Ilā l-Amān) and the al-Quṭb Party demanded in a statement issued yesterday [8 May] night a clear statement of refusal for any foreign military presence in the region. That is caused by the landing of a Turkish plane in the late hours of Thursday, 7 May in the Ğarğīs airport of Jerba in the south of Tunisia adding to that conflicting information were given followed this event, according to the statement. They also demanded from the President a clear position about the attempts of Turkey to have a military presence. Either in a non-direct form, like importing mercenaries from Syria, or in a direct form, which constitutes a huge danger to the peace and security of the region. They renounced all attempts to drag Tunisia into the game of regional alliances, whether it being on the expanse of its national security, or on the expanse of the stability of Libya. The parties believe that the present contradictions and the obscurity in the relations of Tunisia with Turkey, especially in what it concerns the Libyan case reaffirm the people’s fears from the increasing Turkish activities supporting the militias and the terrorist groups in Libya, all conducted on Tunisian soil. That means a huge danger to the Tunisian national security and to the region as a whole. The parties have also pointed out in the statement that the Turkish news agency reported that a plane carried medical aids to Tunisia, but to the biggest surprise of the public in the late hours at that night a statement was issued by the President suggesting that plane was carrying medical aids to brotherly Libya. Tunisia would take over the transit of these aids, while it should be added that the international media brought news confirming that the Turkish side put the Tunisian authorities ahead a case done. Meaning that the Tunisian authorities had no knowledge of the arrival of the plane. These parties renewed their refusal to all foreign intervention in Libya, whatever its source is, confirming their trust in the Libyan people being capable of their free administration, that it is striving to surpass the ordeal and rebuild their country. So Libya would return to its people and its Arab nation as stabile, united and democratic, and would reclaim its historic role in the international scenes defending just causes. The Presidential Office has issued a statement in the late hours of Thursday night, saying that it allowed the Turkish plane carrying medical aids to land in the Ğarğīs international airport of Jerba, with the condition that the aids on board of the plane intended to the brothers in Libya shall be handed over to the Tunisian authorities (security and local administration), and with the condition that the Tunisian authorities alone shall take over the delivery to the border crossing at Ra’s Ğadīr without anyone else, so to be handed over to the Libyan side.

عبرت عدد من الأحزاب عن رفضها المطلق “لأيّ نشاط تركي على الأراضي التونسية” لدعم ما أسمته بالمليشيات والإرهابيين وتصدير المرتزقة للشقيقة ليبيا، محذّرة من “مغبّة استمرار نهج الغموض الذي تنتهجه السلطات التونسية في كلّ ما يتعلق بالأنشطة التركية في المنطقة.” وطالبت هذه الأحزاب وهي التيار الشعبي وحزب العمال والحزب الاشتراكي وحركة البعث وحركة تونس إلى الامام وحزب القطب في بيان لها مساء أمس، بموقف واضح في رفض التواجد العسكري الأجنبي في المنطقة، وذلك إثر هبوط طائرة تركية في ساعة متأخرة من ليلة الخميس 7 ماي في مطار جربة جرجيس بالجنوب التونسي مضيفة ان معطيات متضاربة رافقت هذا الحدث تضارب في المعطيات وفق ما جاء في البيان كما طالبت رئيس الجمهورية بموقف واضح من محاولات تركيا التواجد العسكري سواء بشكل غير مباشر من خلال جلب المرتزقة من سوريا أو بشكل مباشر لما يشكّله هذا الأمر من خطورة كبيرة على الأمن والسلم الاقليميين، وأدانت كلّ محاولة للزجّ بتونس في لعبة المحاور الإقليمية مهما كانت على حساب أمنها القومي وعلى حساب أمن واستقرار الشعب الليبي ودماء أبنائه. واعتبرت أن التضارب والغموض الحاصلين في علاقة تونس بتركيا خاصة فيما يتعلق بالملف الليبي يؤكد المخاوف الشعبية من تنامي النشاط التركي الداعم للمليشيات والجماعات الإرهابية في ليبيا على الأراضي التونسية، وهو ما يشكّل خطورة بالغة على الأمن القومي لتونس والمنطقة ككل. وأشارت في ذات البيان إلى أن وكالة الأنباء التركية أوردت أنّ الطائرة تحمل مساعدات طبية لتونس، ليتفاجأ الرأي العام في ساعة متأخرة من الليل ببيان صادر عن رئاسة الجمهورية يفيد بأنّ الطائرة تحمل مساعدات طبية للشقيقة ليبيا، وأنّ تونس هي من ستتولّى تمرير هذه المساعدات، مضيفة أن أخبارا أخرى راجت في وسائل إعلام دولية تؤكد أن الجانب التركي وضع السلطات التونسية أمام الأمر الواقع بما يعني أنها لم تكن على علم بقدوم الطائرة. وجددت هذه الأحزاب رفضها لكلّ تدخل أجنبي في ليبيا مهما كان مصدره، مؤكّدة ثقتها في الشعب الليبي القادر بإرادته الحرة ودون وصاية على تجاوز محنته وإعادة بناء بلاده لتعود ليبيا لشعبها وأمّتها العربية مستقرة موحّدة وديمقراطية، وتستعيد دورها التاريخي في المحافل الدولية دفاعا عن القضايا العادلة. وكانت رئاسة الجمهورية أفادت في بلاغ أصدرته في وقت متأخر من مساء الخميس، بأنها سمحت بنزول طائرة تركية محملة بمساعدات طبية بمطار جربة جرجيس الدولي شرط أن يتم تسليم ما بها من مساعدات موجهة إلى الأشقاء في ليبيا إلى السلطات التونسية (أمن وديوانة( شرط أن تتولى السلطات التونسية وحدها دون غيرها إيصالها إلى معبر راس جدير ليتسلمها الجانب الليبي
