In Tunisia, the Anti-Terrorist Judiciary Department decides to question the President of the an-Nahḍa Movement Rāšid al-Ġannūšī as an “accused” this month.
Sources to the al-Mayadeen net today, on Wednesday, confirmed that the Anti-Terrorist Department decided to question President of the an-Nahḍa Movement Rāšid al-Ġannūšī as an “accused” on 19 July about that case of the “Namā’ Tūnis [Development of Tunisia]” charity society.
The spokesman of the Tunisian Interior Ministry announced the arrest of 3 people belonging to the “Namā’ Tūnis” society with money laundering charges after information was obtained about “the society received funds from abroad”.
She said that amongst these there are “political personalities, who held a political position and had contributed to the founding of a political party”.
Our correspondent reported that was officially informed al-Ġannūšī yesterday, Tuesday about the request against him by the Anti-Terrorist Judiciary Department.
Yesterday, on Tuesday the Tunisian Financial Evaluation Committee belonging to the Tunisian Central Bank announced the freeze of bank accounts and financial receivables of the President of the an-Nahḍa Movement Rāšid al-Ġannūšī and 9 other people.
Along with al-Ġannūšī and one of his sons the announcement included the names of former Prime Minister Ḥammādī al-Ğibālī and his two daughters, and former Foreign Minister Rafīq ibn ‘Abd as-Salām and others.
This comes after the Tunisian judiciary on 28 June officially raised a charge of “belonging to a terrorist organization” against 33 people, amongst them al-Ġannūšī.

القطب القضائي لمكافحة الإرهاب في تونس يقرر استنطاق رئيس حركة النهضة راشد الغنوشي بصفته “متّهماً” الشهر الحالي
أكدت مصادر للميادين، اليوم الأربعاء، أنّ القطب القضائي لمكافحة الإرهاب قرّر استنطاق رئيس حركة النهضة راشد الغنوشي بصفته “متّهماً” في 19 تموز/يوليو الجاري، فيما يتعلق بقضية جمعية “نماء تونس” الخيرية.
وكانت المتحدثة باسم الداخلية التونسية أعلنت إيقاف 3 أشخاص تابعين لجمعية “نماء تونس” بتهمة غسيل أموال، بعد توفر معلومات بشأن “تلقي الجمعية أموالاً من الخارج”.
وقالت إنّ من بين هؤلاء ” شخصية سياسية كان لها منصب سياسي، وساهمت في تأسيس حزب سياسي سابقاً”.
وأفادت مراسلتنا بإعلام الغنوشي، أمس الأربعاء، رسمياً بالاستدعاء الموجّه إليه من طرف القطب القضائي لمكافحة الإرهاب.
وأمس الثلاثاء، أعلنت اللجنة التونسية للتحاليل المالية التابعة للبنك المركزي التونسي تجميد حسابات بنكية وأرصدة مالية لرئيس حركة النهضة راشد الغنوشي و9 أشخاص آخرين.
وإلى جانب الغنوشي وأحد أبنائه، ضمّ الإعلان أسماء رئيس الحكومة الأسبق حمادي الجبالي وابنتيه، ووزير الخارجية الأسبق رفيق بن عبد السلام وآخرين.
يأتي ذلك بعدما وجّه القضاء التونسي رسمياً، في 28 حزيران/يونيو الماضي، تهمة “الانتماء إلى تنظيم إرهابي” إلى 33 شخصاً، من بينهم الغنوشي
