The correspondent of al-Mayadeen in Syria talks about explosions heard in the vicinity of the American military base at the al-‘Umar oil field in the eastern part of Dayr az-Zūr in Syria.
The correspondent of the al-Mayadeen in Syria on Sunday reported that explosions were heard in the vicinity of the American military base at the al-‘Umar oilfield in the eastern part of Dayr az-Zūr in Syria.
Our correspondent reported that sounds of explosions in the vicinity of the al-‘Umar base coincided with the cruising of warplanes and helicopters.
This base counts to be one of the biggest in the eastern part of Dayr az-Zūr. It should be mentioned that it has already suffered similar missile attacks a few days ago, which led to material damage.
The American army and the other foreign forces participating in the so-called “International Coalition” keep not less than 28 admitted military positions under occupation in Syria spreading out in 3 provinces. These are al-Ḥasaka (17 positions), Dayr az-Zūr (9 positions), and Ḥimṣ (2 positions).
The al-‘Umar oilfield counts to be one of the biggest oilfields in Syria, where one of the biggest American bases was erected in Dayr az-Zūr, where the American military bases in Eastern Syria spread out in a crescent form from the at-Tanaf border crossing at the Syrian-Jordanian-Iraqi triple border at the south until the Rumaylān border crossing close to the Syrian-Iraqi-Turkish triple border in the north.
The American military bases impose a barrier around the biggest Syrian oil and gas fields that produce most of the country’s mineral wealth.
On Saturday an American convoy composed of 100 trucks breached the Iraqi border towards the Syrian oil fields. The Syrian Oil Ministry last week revealed that “the American occupying forces and their mercenaries steal around 66 thousand barrels of oil daily from the fields they occupy in Eastern Syria, which is a significant part of the Syrian daily oil production reaching up to 80.3 thousand barrels daily”.
According to the average price of the oil last year, the value of the yearly stolen Syrian oil is more than $1.5 billion. The American army and its officers are active in the production of stolen Syrian oil and its export via the illegal border crossings in Northern and Northeastern Syria so that they can sell these in the close by black markets.

وأشار مراسلنا إلى أنّ أصوات الإنفجارات في محيط قاعدة حقل العمر تزامنت مع تحليق للطيران الحربي والمروحي.
وتعدّ هذه القاعدة الأميركية الأكبر في ريف دير الزور الشرقي. ويذكر، أنّها كانت قد تعرضت قبل أيام لهجوم صاروخي مشابه، أدى إلى أضرار مادية
ويحتلّ الجيش الأميركي وقوات أجنبية أخرى تشارك ضمن ما يسمى “التحالف الدولي”، ما لا يقل عن 28 موقعاً عسكرياً معلناً عنه في سوريا، تتوزع على 3 محافظات، هي الحسكة (17 موقعاً) ودير الزور (9 مواقع) وحمص (موقعين)
ويعدّ حقل العمر النفطي أكبر حقول النفط السوري، والذي أقيمت عليه أكبر القواعد الأميركية في ريف دير الزور الشرقي، حيث تتوزع القواعد العسكرية الأميركية شرقي سوريا في القوس الممتدّ من معبر التنف عند المثلث الحدودي السوري الأردني العراقي جنوباً، وحتى حقول رميلان النّفطية قرب المثلث الحدودي السوري العراقي التركي شمالاً
وتتّخذ القواعد العسكرية الأميركية شكل الطوق، الذي يحيط بمنابع النّفط والغاز السوري وأكبر حقولهما، والتي تنتج غالبية الثروة الباطنية في البلاد.
وكان رتل أميركي مؤلف من 100 شاحنة اخترق الحدود العراقية نحو حقول النفط السورية أمس السبت، فيما كشفت وزارة النفط السورية الأسبوع الماضي أن “قوات الاحتلال الأميركي ومرتزقتها تسرق ما يصل إلى 66 ألف برميل يومياً من الحقول التي تحتلّها شرقي سوريا من أصل مجمل الإنتاج اليومي لحقول النفط السورية والبالغ 80.3 ألف برميل”.
وتفوق قيمة النفط السوري المسروق سنوياً المليارين ونصف مليار دولار أميركي بحسب متوسط أسعار النفط خلال السنة الفائتة، وينشط ضباط وجنود الجيش الأميركي في عمليات تصدير النفط السوري المسروق عبر المعابر اللاشرعية شمالي وشمال شرقي سوريا، تمهيداً لبيعها في الأسواق السوداء القريبة
