The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces that Minister Badr ibn Ḥamad al-Būsa‘īdī had a telephone call from his American counterpart Antony Blinken and a number of current matters were discussed having mutual interest, most important amongst them is the war in Yemen.
The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on its website that Minister Badr ibn Ḥamad al-Būsa‘īdī received a telephone call on Tuesday night from his American counterpart Antony Blinken.

The Omani Foreign Ministry added that the conversation dealt with “studying a number PJD current affairs having mutual interest, especially the support for the efforts taken to stop the war in Yemen and to promote dialogue between the sides in a political framework to achieve safety and stability”.
The two ministers confirmed to continue the consultations and the cooperation between themselves, so to contribute to achieve peace and to serve the interest of all.
Before that the Sultanate of Oman confirmed that its efforts are ongoing to reach a comprehensive political settlement in Yemen, while the U.N. envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffith said that “the Sultanate of Oman is an essential partner for the United Nations”.

وزارة الخارجية العُمانية تعلن أن الوزير بدر بن حمد البوسعيدي تلقّى اتصالاً هاتفياً من نظيره الأميركي أنتوني بلينكن، وتمَّ البحث في عدد من القضايا الراهنة وذات الاهتمام المشترك، وأهمها الحرب في اليمن
أفادت وزارة الخارجية العُمانية، من خلال موقعها عبر الإنترنت، بأن الوزير بدر بن حمد البوسعيدي تلقّى اتصالاً هاتفياً، مساء اليوم الثلاثاء، من نظيره الأميركي أنتوني بلينكن
وأضافت الخارجية العُمانية أن الاتصال تناول “البحث في عدد من القضايا الراهنة وذات الاهتمام المشترك، وخصوصاً دعم الجهود المبذولة لوقف الحرب في اليمن، وتشجيع الحوار بين كل الأطراف، في إطار عملية سياسية تحقق الأمن والاستقرار
وأكد الوزيران استمرار التشاور والتعاون بينهما، على نحو يساهم في تحقيق السلام، ويعود بالمنفعة على الجميع
وسبق لسلطنة عُمان أن أكَّدت أن جهودها مستمرة للتوصل إلى تسوية سياسية شاملة في اليمن، بينما قال المبعوث الأممي إلى اليمن، مارتن غريفيث، إن “سلطنة عُمان شريك أساسي للأمم المتحدة
