Sheikh of the al-‘Akīdāt tribe Ibrāhīm al-Hafn demanded the sons of the tribes to continue fighting Qasad in Dayr az-Zūr until the goal was achieved for which they rose up.
Al-Hafn said that “the tribal mobilization is on the right track politically to achieve total civilian and military control in Dayr az-Zūr”.
A few days ago al-Hafn confirmed continuing the battles against Qasad until the tribe managed to administer their regions, where there had been sporadic clashes between Qasad and tribal fighters in the eastern areas of Dayr az-Zūr.
The tribe managed to expel the Qasad fighters from the areas they held in al-Kaškiyya, Abū Ḥammām, and Ġarānīğ and took over their headquarters in aš-Ša‘fa and Šanān. They also apprehended a number of military vehicles. They attacked one of the oilfields in the area of al-‘Azba, which led to it burning down.
There had been fierce clashes last Wednesday in the town of Daybān. The tribal fighters have withdrawn from the village after the intense bombardment, so to save the lives of the women, children, and the elderly.
The tribes have pointed out that “the battles haven’t ended yet, as the fighters are still present in several villages and towns in the eastern parts of Dayr az-Zūr”.
The sources pointed out that “Qasad sent in unprecedented reinforcements to the town of Daybān and kept attacking it for several days with different weaponry, while the tribal fighters only posses light weapons”
The tribes accused the “International Coalition of being biased for Qasad and agitating it to continue its unacceptable behavior”.
Qasad tried to show that it was capable of ending the fights in Eastern Dayr az-Zūr, despite its continuing to pull out from more than 20 villages and towns, surrendering control over them in Eastern Dayr at-Zūr.

طالب شيخ قبيلة العكيدات إبراهيم الهفل أبناء العشائر باستمرار قتال “قسد” في دير الزور حتى تحقيق الهدف الذي خرجوا من أجله.
وقال الهفل إنّ “الحراك العشائري يسير في الاتجاه الصحيح سياسياً لتحقيق إدارة مدنية وعسكرية كاملة لدير الزور
وقبل أيام أكد الهفل، استمرار المعارك ضد “قسد”، حتى تتمكّن العشائر من إدارة مناطقها، حيث دارت اشتباكات متقطعة بين “قسد” ومقاتلي العشائر في ريف دير الزور الشرقي.
وتمكّن أبناء العشائر من طرد مسلحي “قسد” من مناطق تمركزهم في كل من الكشكية وأبو حمام وغرانيج، والسيطرة على عدد من مقارّهم في الشعفة وشنان، كما أعطبوا عدداً من آلياتهم العسكرية، واستهدافوا إحدى آبار النفط في منطقة العزبة، الأمر الذي أدى إلى احتراقها.
ودارت معارك عنيفة في بلدة ذيبان، الأربعاء الفائت، وانسحب مقاتلو العشائر من البلدة بعد قصف عنيف حفاظاً على أرواح الأطفال والنساء وكبار السن.
ولفتت العشائر إلى أنّ “المعارك لم تنتهِ في ظل وجود مقاتليها في عدة قرى وبلدات في ريف دير الزور الشرقي”.
وأشارت المصادر إلى أنّ “قسد استقدمت تعزيزات غير مسبوقة إلى بلدة ذيبان وهاجمتها طوال عدة أيام بمختلف صنوف الأسلحة، في وقتٍ لا يملك مقاتلو العشائر إلا الأسلحة الفردية”.
واتهمت العشائر “التحالف الدولي بالانحياز إلى قسد، وتشجيعها على زيادة ممارساتها غير المقبولة بحقها”.
وتحاول “قسد” إظهار تمكّنها من إنهاء المعارك في ريف دير الزور الشرقي، وإعادته إلى سيطرتها، على رغم استمرار خروج أكثر من 20 بلدة وقرية عن سيطرتها في الريف الشرقي
