After American National Security Advisor Jack Sullivan announced that President Joe Biden will announce to stop the American support for the war on Yemen Sana’a welcomes the announcement and hopes that this will be the beginning to stop the aggression.
Foreign Minister of the Sana’a government Hišām Šaraf to al-Mayadeen welcomed the stopping of the American support for the war on Yemen and said: “We welcome any American efforts to stop the vicious aggression war, lift the siege and to achieve a just settlement without prejudice, which served Yemen, its people and safeguards its sovereignty”.
Šaraf confirmed that: Sana’a supports all good efforts aiming to end the suffering and the catastrophe in which Yemen lives as a result of the aggression”.
On its own terms, the Anṣār Allah Movement in Sana’a on Thursday night welcomed the decision of American President Joe Biden to end Washington’s support to the operations in Yemen, where Saudi Arabia leads a military coalition, and they considered it as a step might leading to the end of the struggle.
An official in the movement Ḥamīd ‘Āṣim said to the France Press Agency: “We wish it was the beginning for a decision to be taken to end the war on Yemen and to be the beginning to take a strong stance in the U.N. Security Council to end the aggression”. Thus adding: “We hope that”.
At the same time, a high ranking source in the Sana’a government revealed to the al-Mayadeen that there has been a contact alive for a week between Sana’a and the new American administration with the aim to achieve peace in Yemen and to annul the decision of the American administration decreeing the Anṣār Allah Movement as a terrorist organization.

Sullivan mentioned that: “We are constructing a policy which has no surprises and we have already spoken to officials in Saudi Arabia and the Emirates about stopping the American support for the attack operations in Yemen”.
He pointed to the decision about Yemen “not being extended to the attack operations against “al-Qā‘ida”, because it targets the defense of our national security. We talk about a war that led to the biggest humanitarian crisis”.
This comes after the Biden administration froze the F-35 warplanes selling the deal to the Emirates to “restudy” it, and also other arms deals to Saudi Arabia for the war in Yemen.

رحب وزير الخارجية في حكومة صنعاء هشام شرف للميادين بوقف الدعم الأميركي للحرب في اليمن، وقال “نرحب بأي جهود أميركية لوقف الحرب العدوانية العبثية ورفع الحصار، وتحقيق تسوية وسلام عادلين دون تحيز وبما يخدم اليمن وشعبه ويحافظ على سيادته
شرف أكد أن “صنعاء تدعم كل الجهود الخيرة الهادفة لإنهاء المأساة والمعاناة التي يعيشها اليمن بسبب العدوان
من جهته، رحبت حركة أنصار الله في صنعاء، مساء الخميس، بقرار إدارة الرئيس الأميركي جو بايدن إنهاء دعم واشنطن للعمليات في اليمن، حيث تقود السعودية تحالفا عسكرياً، معتبرين أنها قد تكون خطوة نحو إنهاء النزاع
وقال مسؤول في الحركة حميد عاصم لوكالة فرانس برس “نتمنى أن يكون مقدمة لاتخاذ قرار وقف الحرب على اليمن، وأن يكون مقدمة لاتخاذ موقف قوي في مجلس الأمن لصالح وقف العدوان”، مضيفاً “نحن نتفاءل بذلك
هذا وكشف مصدر رفيع في حكومة صنعاء للميادين أن هناك تواصل قائم منذ أسبوع بين صنعاء والإدارة الأميركية الجديدة بهدف تحقيق السلام في اليمن وإلغاء تصنيف الإدارة الأميركية لأنصار الله منظمة إرهابية

ولفت إلى أن القرار بشأن اليمن “لا يمتد إلى العمليات الهجومية التي تستهدف “القاعدة”، لأنه تستهدف حماية أمننا القومي، بل نحن نتحدث عن حرب أدت إلى أكبر أزمة إنسانية
يأتي ذلك بعدما جمدت إدارة بايدن صفقة بيع طائرات أف 35 إلى الإمارات لـ”إعادة دراستها”، وصفقة سلاح أخرى مع السعودية بسبب الحرب على اليمن
