Sana’a views that the Saudi Arabia’s claim to defend the sovereignty of Yemen is “most arrogant” and that “the Saudi aggression did not spare anything that has resemblance to life”.

On Sunday the Foreign Ministry of the government of Sana’a confirmed that the Yemeni people with all their institutions took the decision to end the aggression and break the siege and that “it will not step back from this, whatever price it took”.

The statement added that Yemen is still in the early stage to break the siege, calling upon “the Saudi regime to take the statement of the Armed Forces seriously to return its rights”.

The Ministry had rejected the claim of the Saudi side that it would have refused the roadmap that was created between sides under the supervision of the Sultanate of Oman, confirming that its had agreed to it time and again on numerous occasions.

The ministry has pointed out that “as long as the Saudi regime that the roadmap is ready than fast progress is demanded to sign it and implement it without delay, or complication.

It added that the claim of Saudi Arabia supports the roadmap “has collapsed upon its objection to the return of Yemen citizens stranded abroad returning to the Sana’a International Airport”, expressing that the Saudi dynasty regime stands behind the continued siege against Yemen, its airports, ports and undermining the measures to settle the economic and humanitarian sufferings, which was supposed to happen according to the roadmap.

It also believed that “it is strange” to consider the return of the Yemeni citizens stranded abroad and the travel of the sick via the international airports as “the violation of so of Yemen, or threat to the security of the Kingdom”.

The Ministry underlined that “the Saudi regime is not a neutral side to decide who is committed and who is violating. It is the primal aggressor, the same who declared war and committed to it”.

Talking about the aggression in Yemen, the Ministry confirmed that the Saudi regime “oversees all the acts of aggression, occupied large sections of the country and designates the roles amongst its mercenaries, as it has carried out more than a quarter million airstrikes”.

The Ministry pointed out that the Saudi aggression “did not spare anything that resembles life and did not even take exception with the graveyard, causing the martyrdom of hundreds of thousands of Yemenis”.

It added that “the Saudi regime is betting on the American-Israeli aggression against Yemen violating all achievements of the peace, but reintroducing its mediation upon Yemen will not succeed”, expressing that the Saudi criticism against the Yemeni supports operations helping Gaza “once again proves that the regime is just a Zionist tool and moves according to its American overlords to serve the Israeli Enemy Entity”.

It also called upon the head of the Saudi regime to have a look at the oil fields, “Aramco” the city of Yanbū‘ and the rest of the ports, its stock exchange and its “Vision 2020” Project, “so he may regains his senses”.

It considered that Saudi Arabia’s claim that is defending the sovereignty of Yemen “most arrogant”, adding that the Saudi regime “is not a custodian of other states and is not interested to defend them. It is the one that attacks them”.

About the Saudi threats Sana’a confirms that this “falls back on it” and that the Saudi regime is the one that had started the aggression and carries out an aggression when it wanted to prevent the civilians planes to land in Sana’a International Airport and that “was about to commit a major massacre, was it not for the swift and decisive intervention of the Yemeni Armed Forces”.

It added that any steps taken by the Saudi regime “will have its negative consequences to the stability of the region that had been wrecked even before and will have catastrophic repercussions on the global economy”, calling upon it to “take the lesson from the experiences for more than a decade, as they never managed to achieve anything others than their ventures failing”.

The ministry pointed out that the security of Yemen and the region “cannot come by the same force  that failed uniting the countries around the world or impose itself in Yemen, Iran, Lebanon, or Palestine”. It advised the Saudi regime to “take the correct and more peaceful path for all, or suffer the results of its ventures and its arrogance”.

It warned against “any attempt for aggression against Yemen in any shape or form either by Yourselves, or via your tools, or your Zionist partners, who carry all and full responsibility”.

This comes after Sana’a had foiled a Saudi attempt to intercept an Iranian civilian plane that was heading to Sana’a International Airport. That invoked a warning by the Yemeni Armed Forces against any new violation against the Yemeni airspace and the confirmation that any escalation will be met with a response that will target the Saudi airports and vital infrastructure.

It worths mentioning that Sana’a Airport has been shut down since the beginning of the aggression in March 2015. On 9 August 2016 the Saudi Coalition emphasized its full control over the Yemeni airspace, which led to the full lockdown of Sana’a airport for economic flights.

The siege includes preventing the transportation of trade goods via the airport, but also medicine and other goods, which has caused economic and humanitarian losses and the collapse of the humanitarian situation in Yemen.

Despite the limited reopening the direct flights in later periods, the airport later on suffered a number of lockdowns and airstrikes, including Israeli attacks that had demolished large parts of it.

أكدت وزارة الخارجية في حكومة صنعاء، الأحد، أنّ الشعب اليمني، بمؤسساته كافة اتخذ قراره بإنهاء العدوان وكسر الحصار، و”لن يتراجع عن ذلك مهما كلفه من ثمن”.

وأضافت في بيان، أنّ اليمن لا يزال في المراحل الأولى لكسر الحصار، داعيةً “النظام السعودي إلى استيعاب جدية بيان القوات المسلحة لاستعادة الحقوق”.

ونفت الوزارة ادعاء الجانب السعودي رفضها خارطة الطريق التي تمت بين الجانبين، برعاية سلطنة عُمان، مؤكدةً أنّها وافقت عليها مراراً وتكراراً وفي مناسبات عدة.

وأشارت الوزارة إلى أنّه “طالما يدّعي النظام السعودي أنّ خارطة الطريق جاهزة، فهو مطالب بسرعة التوقيع عليها وتنفيذها فوراً، من دون مماطلة أو تسويف”.

وأضافت أنّ ادعاء السعودية تأييد خارطة الطريق “سقط بانزعاجها من عودة مواطنين يمنيين عالقين في الخارج إلى مطار صنعاء الدولي”، معتبرةً أنّ نظام آل سعود يقف وراء استمرار الحصار على اليمن في المطارات والموانئ، وعرقلة صرف المرتبات والمعاناة الاقتصادية والإنسانية، وفقاً لخارطة الطريق.

كما رأت أنّه من “الغريب” اعتبار عودة المواطنين اليمنيين العالقين وسفر المرضى عبر مطار صنعاء الدولي “انتهاكاً لسيادة اليمن أو تهديداً لأمن المملكة”.

وشددت الوزارة على أنّ “النظام السعودي ليس طرفاً محايداً حتى يحدد من الملتزم ومن المتنصل، فهو رأس العدوان، وهو من أعلن الحرب وتبنّاها

وبالحديث عن العدوان في اليمن، أكدت الوزارة أنّ النظام السعودي “يرعى كل الأنشطة العدائية، ويحتل أجزاء واسعة من البلاد، ويوزع الأدوار بين مرتزقته، حيث شنّ أكثر من ربع مليون غارة جوية”.

ولفتت الوزارة أنّ العدوان السعودي “لم يستثنِ أي شيء له علاقة بمظاهر الحياة، ولم تسلم منه حتى المقابر، وتسبب باستشهاد مئات آلاف اليمنيين”.

وأضافت أنّ “رهان النظام السعودي على العدوان الأميركي- الإسرائيلي على اليمن للتملص من استحقاقات السلام وإعادة فرض وصايته على اليمن لم يتحقق”، معتبرة أنّ انتقاد السعودية لعمليات الإسناد اليمنية لغزة “يثبت مجدداً أنّ هذا النظام أداة صهيونية ويتحرك برعاية أميركية لخدمة كيان العدو الإسرائيلي”.

كما دعت الوزارة رأس النظام السعودي إلى النظر إلى حقول النفط و”أرامكو” و”ينبع” وبقية الموانئ وبورصته ومشاريع “رؤية 2030″، “لعلّه يعود إلى رشده”.

واعتبرت أنّ ادعاء السعودية الدفاع عن سيادة اليمن “محض غرور”، مضيفةً أنّ النظام السعودي  “ليس وصياً على الدول الأخرى ولا معنياً بالدفاع عنها، وهو من يعتدي عليها”.

وعن تهديدات السعودية، أكدت صنعاء أنّ ذلك “مردود عليها”، وأنّ  النظام السعودي هو من بدأ العدوان ومارس الاعتداء عندما حاول ثني الطيران المدني عن الهبوط في مطار صنعاء الدولي، وأنّه “كان على وشك ارتكاب مجزرة كبرى لولا الرد السريع والحاسم من قبل القوات المسلحة اليمنية”.

وأضافت أنّ أي خطوة يُقدم عليها النظام السعودي “ستلقي بظلالها السلبية على استقرار المنطقة المضطربة أصلاً، وستترتب عليها آثار كارثية على الاقتصاد العالمي”، داعيةً إياه إلى “أخذ العبرة من دروس أكثر من عقد من الزمن لم تنتج إلا فشله وسقوط رهاناته”.

فيما لفتت الوزارة إلى أنّ أمن اليمن والمنطقة “لا يتأتى من خلال القوة التي فشلت أعتى الدول في العالم في فرضها سواء في اليمن أو إيران أو لبنان أو فلسطين”، ناصحةً النظام السعودي “باتخاذ الطريق الصحيح والأسلم للجميع أو تحمّل نتائج مغامراته وغروره”. 

وحذّرت من أنّ “أي محاولات عدائية على اليمن بأي شكل كان من قبلكم ومن قبل أدواتكم وشركائكم الصهاينة تتحملون كامل المسؤولية والتبعات”.

يأتي ذلك عقب إفشال صنعاء محاولة اعتراض السعودية طائرة مدنية إيرانية كانت متجهة إلى مطار صنعاء الدولي، الأمر الذي أعقبه تحذير القوات المسلحة اليمنية من أي اعتداء جديد على الأجواء اليمنية، والتأكيد أنّ أي تصعيد سيُواجَه برد يستهدف المطارات والمنشآت الحيوية السعودية. 

الجدير بالذكر أن مطار صنعاء تعرّض للإغلاق منذ بدء العدوان في مارس 2015، وفي الـ 9 من آب/أغسطس من العام 2016، شدد التحالف السعودي حظره على المجال الجوي اليمني، ما أدّى إلى إغلاق مطار صنعاء بشكل كامل أمام الرحلات التجارية.

وشمل الحصار منع نقل البضائع التجارية عبر المطار، فضلاً عن الأدوية وغيرها، ما تسبّب بخسائر اقتصادية وبشرية، وتفاقم الوضع الإنساني في اليمن.

ورغم استئناف رحلات محدودة لوجهات معيّنة في فترات لاحقة، إلا أنّ المطار تعرّض لاحقاً لعدة إغلاقات وضربات، بما في ذلك اعتداءات إسرائيلية دمّرت أجزاء واسعة منه
