Tunisian President Qays Sa‘īd states that the referendum the country witnessed is expressing the will of the majority of the Tunisian people and the Tunisians are celebrating with the president on the al-Ḥabīb Būrqība street in the middle of the capital.

Tunisian President Qays Sa ‘īd confirms that history does not turn back, but also that the referendum the country witnessed is the expression of the will of the majority of the Tunisian people, pointing out that “the referendum will be an important milestone and will start a new history”.

Sa‘īd pointed out that “the solution of the country’s problems can only come by collective efforts”. Thus attacking his opposers, about whom he said that they are “spreading out money” so that “the Tunisians would not vote and express their will”.

Sa‘īd explained that he will not leave Tunisia “to be a prey tossed around from within and from abroad”.

Sa‘īd announced that Tunisia will enter a “new phase” reinforcing the prerogatives of the president, but also the fears for a democratic system”.

President Sa‘īd held a tour in the al-Ḥabīb Būrqība street immediately following the Electoral Institution announced the final participation rate in the referendum after a number of Tunisians went out to the al-Ḥabīb Būrqība street in the middle of the capital chanting slogans supporting the president and constitution.

On his behalf President of the Supreme Independent Electoral Institution in Tunisia Fārūq Bū‘askar that the acceptance participation ratio in the referendum reached 27,54%, and that the majority voted in favor of the new constitution.

The president faces a perilous economic and social situation in the county and a heavy duty to find solutions for these, especially after the unemployment and inflation increased and the buying capacity of the citizens was shaken, which all was increased by the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.

الرئيس التونسي قيس سعيّد يصرّح بأنّ الاستفتاء الذي شهدته البلاد هو تعبيرٌ عن إرادة غالبية الشعب التونسي، وتونسيون يحتفلون مع الرئيس في شارع الحبيب بورقيبة وسط العاصمة

أكّد الرئيس التونسي قيس سعيّد أنّ التاريخ لا يعود إلى الوراء، وأنّ الاستفتاء الذي شهدته البلاد هو تعبيرٌ عن إرادة غالبية الشعب التونسي، مشيراً إلى أنّ “الاستفتاء سيكون مرحلةً مهمة، وسنبدأ تاريخاً جديداً”.

ولفت سعيّد إلى أنّ “الحل لمشاكل البلد لا يمكن أن يكون إلا حلاً جماعياً”، مهاجماً معارضيه الذين قال إنهم “يوزعون الأموال” لكي “لا يصوّت التونسيون ويعبّروا عن إرادتهم”.

وأوضح سعيّد أنّه لن يترك تونس “فريسةً لمن يتربص بها في الداخل والخارج”.

وأعلن سعيّد دخول تونس في “مرحلة جديدة” تعزز صلاحيات الرئيس وكذلك المخاوف حيال النظام الديموقراطي.

وأجرى الرئيس سعيّد جولة في شارع الحبيب بورقيبة فور إعلان هيئة الانتخابات النسبة النهائية للمشاركين في الاستفتاء، بعد أن خرج عددٌ من التونسيين إلى شارع الحبيب بورقيبة وسط العاصمة رافعين شعاراتٍ مؤيّدة للرئيس والدستور

بدوره، أعلن رئيس الهيئة العليا المستقلّة للانتخابات في تونس، فاروق بوعسكر، أنّ نسبة الإقبال على المشاركة في الاستفتاء بلغت 27.54%، وأنّ الغالبية صوّتت للدستور الجديد

وأمام الرئيس وضع اقتصادي واجتماعي متأزم في البلاد ومهمّة شاقة لإيجاد الحلول لذلك، خصوصاً بعد ارتفاع نسبة البطالة والتضخم وتدهور القدرة الشرائية للمواطنين التي زادت الأزمة الروسية الأوكرانية تراجعها
